ALM Manufacturing CH012 Trimmer Safety Kit

This is a proper work kit not just a cheap toy. I have previously used a Stihl combination helmet, visor and earmuffs, which while very well made, never really fitted without wanting to fall off. This kit is well made and fits very comfortable with a turn adjust at the back of the head. I have used it for about 5 hours strimming now and am very happy with it. The only down side is that the you cannot leave the head piece on and just lift the ear muffs. If someone wants to talk to you you have to take the whole visor and headpiece off. I did not find this a real problem though. Would recommend this. Good value for money and most importantly, fit for purpose. Didn't buy for the gloves, but they also are a good quality well fitting glove.

Very impressed with this item. Perfect for it's intended use. Face guard is fine enough not to compromise vision but substantial enough for strimming / brush cutting. Ear defenders can be worn alone or attached and used with face guard. Sound suppression is extremely good (even drowns out the Mrs so bonus points there) You shouldn't scrimp on PPE and buy cheap but for my very occasional use I didnt want to spend a fortune. This is way better quality than I expected and it's a no brainer. Good price for a good product. Would definitely recommend.

Does the job....

I liked the fact of being able to use the ear phones, and the shield separate . And also to secure the headset at different levels. The value is amazingly cheap ,easy to adapt.

Great. I’m using this for a chainsaw instead of a trimmer after the reviews. Cannot work out how to attach the ear defenders but in any case they step over the head band so not a problem in that respect. They could be used as stand alone ear defenders which is 2 products in one. Good set of gloves included. I’d already bought ear defenders which were of a good standard. I will compare them and leave a further note because buying this kit could save you buying those separately.

A cleverly designed face mask with attached ear defenders. Very comfortable to wear and easy adjustment for head size and mask angle. Fine mesh of face guard protects well but wet grass can lodge on the surface - I found it best to let this dry and then brush off to clean the mask . I was wary of washing the mesh as it is made of ferrous metal - it would probably not have had a detrimental effect but I didn't want to risk it. The ear defenders can easily be removed for use when a face guard is not required. The inclusion in the kit of a pair of heavy cotton gloves with a non slip coating (Not continuous but of latticed design) was a nice addition and useful for protection and a variety of tasks but not moving brambles!! I've had this kit for a few weeks now and always pick it for use in preference to a separate face mask and set of ear defenders - I can't believe how uncomfortable the old ones feel now. Definitely a recommended buy.

Simple to put together Lightweight to wear Reasonably priced Good protection and visor mesh preferable to perspex or similar Downside is that need to keep adjusting pressure to keep firmly in place but no real issue

Love this product in every way. So easy to put on and fit, even with one hand and over my hats for extra comfort and protection while strimming grass. Just wish I had bought one 30+ years ago!! Will be great when I am trimming hedges as well. Thanks amazon delivered on time well packaged.
