Lovely thread.. sews perfect with a size 14 or metallic needle If you take your time and not to be to heavy on the foot control then you shouldn't have any problems with broken thread. Hope this helps!!

Perfect will buy again

Very disappointed in these threads and will not be purchasing again, they rip and shred on my two embroidery machines. I have jammed machine races with them ploughing through the fabric and stabiliser and was a total nightmare. Will not be purchasing again

Lovely colours but very rough thread. In the bobbin, they work best if you bypass the tension, or use a machine that has a separate bobbin case and loosen the tension. On the spool, you need to do everything possible that you've ever read in a manual. Hoop or heavily stabilise the fabric, use a darning or satin stitch foot, sew fairly slowly, use a size 14 or above topstitch needle (crucial - they shred instantly with a normal needle), tape a crewel needle to the machine by the spool, to act as a thread guide, and keep a weak top tension (I use minimum). The black threads are still problematic, as they are like rough wire, but the white-based ones work pretty well if you follow this protocol and you can get some nice results. Will stick to Madeira in future, though - these were a false economy.

Neither of my 3 machines like this thread... continuously snaps.
