Mostly Works
Nice and cheap. Do hold single cell 18650 and 26550 flashlights to the fork of my bike with only simple modifications for the latter. Plastic inner shims kinda stiff and difficult to click into place, helps to warm them up a bit and apply a non petroleum based lubricant (I used refined cocoa butter, worked like a charm.) Can be ratcheted on the fly in ~ 8° intervals to direct a flashlights beam to the desired angle of attack. Quick release levers kinda fiddly and metal hardware seems to be chrome plated steel which rusts a bit with prolonged exposure to the elements. Update: For use with single-cell 26650 flashlights, recommended to open the channel-locks all the way and switch out the thick default click-lock shims with the single pair of thinner ones you’ll find loose in the box. These lack prongs to hold themselves in place when the clamps are opened, so my advice is to line with 3M VHB™️ double stick tape, trimmed to fit as shown in pic. The 3M sticks a lot better to its own plastic backing and to your fingers than it does to the shims so is a real PITA to work with but still worth the effort for the amount of frustration it will save you in the long run. Bonus, thickness and compressibility of the tape increases spring in the clamps when tightened around a flashlight, making the QR levers a lot easier to operate. If you’ve already lost the spare shims though or need better grip and compression around your flashlight, another alternative is to cut your own from 3M Electronics Self-Stick Rubber Anti-Skid Pads — marketed here on Amazon under the brand name ROOS. Their resilient composition, super sticky adhesive backing and grippy siliconized surface lend them ideally to this purpose. Just slice into strips 3/4” (20mm) wide and cut tabs/notches to match the interior halves of the clamps, peel off backings then press into place (see pic.) Easy-peasy. Do wish a similar mounting bracket were available in aluminum alloy with siliconized rubber shims, would gladly have paid triple the cost here for a higher quality device. Still, not bad for the price, especially with above mentioned mod.

Good Quality Mounts
Good quality mounts for the price, holds my SK68 flashlights well. Feels durable enough for the purpose its built for and uses metal in all the right places. The rotation at the joint of them is sturdy. Grabbing another set of these in orange for other projects. There's probably better ones out there that are full aluminum but these are plenty good enough.

They’re inexpensive and they work good
They’re a basic clamp, I bought them to mount a phone holder and an external headlight

Installed once - now breaking.
Installed both on mine and my wife's bike, they are loose at the swivel joint and the fasteners are bending under the weight of the torque. if it were made of all aluminum then, it would be 5 stars. So far they are still holding on thought, I would have expected them to have broken by now.

I was half-asleep when I ordered this. Avoid.
These are not suitable for most bikes, IMO. The "rubber" shims aren't rubber, they're a semi-stiff soft plastic and don't prevent the clamp from slipping and rotating on the handlebar. Bikes vibrate. This clamp will never stay in place unless you add your own grippy shim material, like actual rubber from an old inner tube. Meanwhile, these are not even remotely "quick release" clamps. While the lower portion is intended to remain on the handlebar 24/7, the flashlight will need to be removed after most trips and locked up, so a true quick release solution is required. This clamp requires much time-consuming fiddling and turning and tightening to get a flashlight in or out. Two major fails which makes this clamp useless to me. The plastic seems durable, though, and I chose this clamp due to it's ability to rotate at the joint in the middle btwn the upper and lower clamps so that you could fine tune the flashlight's aim on your path ahead. But if the lower clamp won't clamp and you can't conveniently remove the flashlight, what is this for? If your handlebar has a rough finish and you won't be removing your flashlight frequently, this might work for you.

Great for Occasional Use
I don't ride in the dark that much, so a dedicated bike light is a bit of an overkill. I do walk my dog at night a lot and have a bunch of flashlights around for that, so it's nice to be able to attach a regular flashlight for occasional use. Great idea.

Mistake was made in review posted earlier
What follows is the mistake that was hidden, then discovered at the second order of these clamps arrived yesterday. When pressing in the sleeve cushions, it was noticed the slotted hinge point with 3 positions for alternate size needed. One needs to align hinge pin to slide select next option, and position chosen stays locked. Quite Clever I must say, and glad I ordered an extra set, badly needed for wire rack spot light now mounted to its 1" corner posts. --------------------------------------------- Previous message: These are Great Clamps, and more compact than expected. Some members having issues with inserts falling out simply didn't get them in place correctly. As Stated in Specs: Adjustable clip size, suitable for body diameter from 0.7 to 1.5 inch. Suitable for holding most LED flashlights with the body diameter from 18mm to 38mm. Not Quite - I was hoping it would fit stem size of 1-3/8 - 35mm. Not w/o modifying with a little Dremel action on clamp to let clevis lever get seated in place then Lever flipped to lock in place. Maybe if forced with water pump pliers, but possible damage risk. Mounting clamp on slightly smaller 34mm section of handlebar mount. No inserts used, and Lever screw just made it into pivot nut. If tube is 35mm, lever screw would not reach pivot nut. Mounting Highend LED flashlight with Tele zoom Spot to Flood was perfect, with 1.0 inch body. * Make sure inserts are mounted and pressed in correctly, or they will obviously fall out. The inserts have location tabs that get pressed into place within the clamp. The tabs on back side of inserts are specific size to only go one way into clamps recessed pockets. The clamp needs to be opened fully to insert them correctly. At 18mm - 3/4" to 34mm its fine. Those skilled with Dremel can modify where needed if tube is slightly larger than 34mm. Glad I ordered twin set, so gal next door got a clamp mounted as well. For sure a another set is needed to mount other items.
