No, the Naväge Nose Cleaner doesn't heat the water temperature. To be clear, most users prefer to warm their water prior to use. If you do this, do not overheat the water. It should be lukewarm to the touch and not hotter than about 85°– 90° F (29°– 32° C).

Great question! No, the SaltPods aren't refillable. Using your own salt packets in the Naväge Nose Cleaner will increase the amount of salt in the solution, and make it hypertonic instead of isotonic. But NO – other salt packets cannot be used as a substitute for a Naväge SaltPod. ​

To be clear, the Naväge Nose Cleaner and Naväge SaltPods work together as a complete nasal hygiene system, and a genuine, new SaltPod is needed for each irrigation cycle. Naväge is designed for safety, effectiveness, purity, and convenience.

Safety and Effectiveness: Having a correctly formulated nose rinse is the key to a great irrigation experience. Sensitive tissue lines the inside of the nose and exposing it to water that doesn’t have just the right amount of salt can cause painful burning and even injury. That’s the beauty of the Naväge SaltPod! Because it is precisely formulated, there’s no burning and stinging, just the refreshing experience that comes with moisturizing and flushing the nasal passages.

Purity: Naväge SaltPod capsules contain two ingredients: salt and water. There are no drugs. The salt is pharmaceutical grade, containing 99.99% sodium chloride with zero additives and fillers.
