Discover 150 easy and tasty Mediterranean recipes from the popular BBC TV series, featuring healthy, fresh ingredients and classic dishes from France, Spain, and Italy. Review: One of the best Mediterranean Cook Books currently available - The boys have done it again! Super, easy and delicious meals to prepare. Just reading the recipes makes the mouth water and almost all of the ingredients are available from large supermarkets anywhere in the UK. Living in Colchester where I went into a Co-operative store for a bottle of Campari and not finding it, was asked by a salesperson when enquiring, "Is that chilled or frozen?" gives an idea of some out-of-London stores' mentality BUT ingredients listed in the Hairy Bikers' book ARE available from Tesco, Sainsbury and Waitrose. Perhaps the only ingredient which might be tricky to find is fresh sardines. I love the boys' inclusion of lots of garlic which fortunately the British have grown to love. No Mediterranean savoury dish can be without it. We are also appreciating the delights of fresh and not dried herbs although the dried varieties definitely have their place. The book gives a comprehensive range of dishes from the TV series and is separated by region. There is also a collection of the Hairy Bikers' tips at the end making life easier for the home cook. Each recipe is prefaced by a short and often humorous introduction exemplifying the easy-going approach to cooking of these well-loved cooks. Down to earth yet exciting, the recipes open a world of Mediterranean flavours which some of us may have missed out on. I thoroughly recommend it and for its modest price, think it's a book which will be read and used for many years. My tip: get a plastic book cover to protect the jacket as, like all well-used cookery books, this will prolong the life of the cover from sticky fingers and splashes from ingredients. My copy arrived very quickly and very well packed and I thank desertcart for making it available. Great recipes to convert to a Mediterranean lifestyle
Another fantastic book from Si and Dave. I bought this book as to follow a Mediterranean diet as we are planning on moving abroad in the not too distant future. We both enjoy Mediterranean food and it has been said that it is one of the healthiest lifestyles to follow.

First Impressions
I ordered 'The Hairy Bikers Mediterranean Adventure' on the strength of their 'Asian Adventure' cookbook. Hoping Si and Dave's next Adventure is to North Africa or the Near East! Presumably because the TV series will not be broadcast until 2018, the information available on the content of this cookbook is very limited. So I was pleased to find a focus on the coastal regions of Italy, France and Spain, as well as several Mediterranean islands (Sardinia, Corsica, Mallorca, Menorca). There is a balance of fish and seafood to meat and cheese based recipes. Many of the recipes are classics - eg. caponata, bouillabaisse, patatas bravas, focaccia, Provencal allsorts - so this book is best suited to HB fans or those who holiday in Southern Europe.

Amazing and totally delicious!
Fabulous book and have been re-watching the series on TV. Easy recipes filled with love for the places that they are visiting. There is something in there for everyone and I have made at least 5 of the recipes and had the book only 3 weeks! Enjoy it, its also a fabulous read.

I watch the show all the time and I always have a smile on my face while watching it. Kudos to this two hairy bikers for making this book for us who loves mediterrarean foods and for showing that beautiful places in the show. I love it! ❤
