Unlike Carlube and Comma brake fluids, castrol's brake fluid has 0% moisture as all brake fluid should have. Btw, I returned the other 2 because carlube has 2% moisture (same as my 4 year old brake fluid) and commas brake fluid broke the scale of my brake fluid tester at above 5%. To help you understand, 3% moisture can lower a brake fluids boiling point by a 100 degrees! Last thing I need is my brake fluid to turn into gas which is compressible while making my brakes feel spongy which actually causes it to not work. But Castrol is the one brand you can put your trust in.

On first opening the bottle I was a bit surprised to see the fluid was yellow! Most brake fluids start off colourless, and then develop a yellow hue over time as they absorb more water. So they therefore act as an indicator of the age of the brake fluid. As the bottle also didn't have the normal seal you typically find on things like bottles of engine oil, just a seal pad on the inside of the lid, I was immediately concerned that the fluid had "gone off". A quick search however found the MSDS for this product which states that this DOT4 fluid is indeed yellow when new. So far it works as well as the old fluid in my motorbikes brake system (Honda), will be interesting to see what colour it has changed to in 2 years time!

I have used Castrol oil for years, never had an issue so thought I would use them for the brake fluid. I have used Motul previously, this seemed perfect to do a full flush and replacement on my Mini. Good price and not many come in a Litre bottle.

If your brakes call for it just buy it. Don't use inferior brake fluid

J'utilise la marque castrol depuis les années 70 , c'était pour moto 2 temps , depuis pour mes voitures j'ai toujours pris cette marque , et aujourd'hui ma voiture actuelle qui fait + de 200CV a castrol pour le moteur et freins , jamais aucun problèmes , je ne changerai pour rien , et quand je change de véhicule , c'est vidange et remplacement par castrol , comme cela je suis très tranquille , cette marque est spécialisée dans les huiles en tout genre et c'est du sérieux

Guter Preis

Ottimo olio per freni in confezione da 1 lt completamente sintetico. Usato per la sostituzione dell'olio in tutto l'impianto. Per chi ne fa uso come me da utente casalingo e non professionista un litro è troppo sarebbe stato meglio una confezione da 750cl. Normalmente per sostituire l'olio servono 600 cl quindi si ha una rimanenza di 400 cl che molte volte non si usa più perché l'olio aperto potrebbe degradarsi con l'umidità. Per il resto tutto ok nessun problema nella frenata. Ha una temperature max supportata di utilizzo sotto sforzo nella media di altre marche!

Es un producto excelente. proteccion alta por lo tanto mantiene el circuito de frenos limpio incluso si se supera el tiempo de susttitucion del fluido.
