Review: Reputable Quality Benchmark - Prior to this purchase we had low-cost brand footballs with a high turnover due to poor quality stitching, and it was a heavy ball for my kids at size 4. We purchased the Mitre and immediately identified its quality benchmark. Lightweight, thoroughly stitched, enhanced kinetic control and contact with its material, great performance all-round. It has boosted my Boys' technical training and quality output visibly and consistently. Brands that have a reputation to sustain might cost more, but if I'd purchased Mitre from the beginning, we wouldn't have gone through 7 balls of another poorly produced brand in 6 months. Highly recommended.

The 'cushioned' outer skin is a great idea for budding young footballers; it helps a little with their control, and doesn't hurt as much when accidentally hit. Both are good for confidence. It even helps me look capable... ish. The only issue I have with mine is that it deflates fairly quickly, which is a bit of a pain. It's a chore having to pump it up every time we come to use it, and that's the only reason I'm giving it four rather than five stars. It could be that I've got a rogue one, of course, and it's good enough in every other way that I wouldn't let this put you off. Update: Oddly enough, it seems to have sorted itself out now, and no longer goes flat in a matter of days. In the spirit of honesty I thought I'd let people know. I'd buy another one without hesitation.

**Q: What size ball should i get for a 3 year old?**
A: I'm not sure it's the size that matters as much as the weight. The Mitre ball is quite easy to kick for my four year old but isn't too light.

**Q: What size goalkeeper gloves should i get for a ten year old?**
A: I bought size 5 sondico ones, they fit but only just. If I had to buy again I would go for at least a size 6

**Q: Is the ball already pumped when sent?**
A: No, it's sent deflated so you will need a suitable pump to inflate it.

**Q: Hi do you need a mitre pump to inflate the ball or can any pump be used?  Thank you**
A: Any pump with the correct adaptor, needle type from memory.

It looks and feels like a high quality football, this. I've bought 3 of these footballs. These are perfect for younger children or for playing football in the garden or beach when you don't have to have to wear football boots/trainers. These balls are lightweight but really good quality. I'd recommend them and for the price are outstanding.
