Knocking on wood I've never seen a Fernco coupling fail. They're well made and easy to install.

Cheaper than Home Depot, anyway, by about a third. Fernco is a major brand, and these appear to be genuine. My local Home Depot wants almost $10 each for these, but they're often much more expensive than other stores. Unfortunately, they're the only large local hardware place, so I often end up buying online. These are a bargain and exactly as described. American plumbing is a huge disaster of badly named and badly designed pieces that are sometimes but not always compatible with each other, so rubber couplings are sometimes your best option.

Woke up by leak alarm at 2am... Sump doing it's best impression of a fountain in front of a Vegas hotel. The check valve had locked up and it blew the pipe loose from pump. Of course the old fittings were rusted to far to get a bite on with anything. Cut the clamp off. Used one of these to extend the pipe length sans check valve and another to attach pipe to pump. Next day I disassembed pipe and inserted the check valve. Saved us in the middle of the night. Everyone needs some of these in their kit. I added spares now to my parts bin.

A little pricey but no glue required and removable if necessary. I like it.
