Powerful and easy to install
I bought this laser to upgrade my Nasum A5 Pro, whose puny 5W laser required two passes to cut 3mm basswood. The box contains the laser unit itself, a sliding mounting plate in two parts (one attaches to the carriage, the other to the laser head, a few screws with matching hex wrenches, a power adapter board with cable, a few acrylic focus spacers, and a replacement lens. Attaching the mounting plate to the Nasum carriage would not have been possible without reusing two screws from the previous mounting plate; as it is I could have used two more. I would have appreciated finding the corresponding screws in the box. Two thumbscrews secure the laser plate to the carriage holder and allow for easy focus adjustment, this is very handy. There are two versions of the laser head on this page, 12V and 24V. They look identical, apparently the 24V version see a lot of returns, probably because most controllers on inexpensive engraving tables feed 12V to the laser head. The included voltage adapter can be used to convert 12V into 24 or vice versa if needed, of course at the expense of another board and more wires -- so make sure you check the voltage and pinout on your controller before ordering. The Nasum A5 Pro uses the same connector and 12V, so it was an easy replacement and I don't need to use the adapter board (I could have done with a cheaper version WITHOUT the board, and maybe with a couple more screws instead!) The hose of my air assist pump connected easily to to the brass nozzle and it works great. Finally, the optical protection attaches magnetically to the bottom of the unit. Overall, install took roughly 15 minutes, easy peasy. I ran a few tests and it essentially cuts twice as fast as the original 5W laser: card stock cuts at 2000mm/minute at 50% (instead of 1000mm/m at 50% with the 5W) and the edges are perfect; basswood cuts in a single pass at 200mm/m at 100% instead of requiring two passes at the same speed with the 5W. So, a very worthy upgrade I'm very pleased with.

Amazing Upgrade, just don't look away for too long.
First off, I'll say this has been an incredible upgrade from my old 5.5w diode. It's easily 4x faster than before as well as being able to actually cut through 3mm wood in one pass. That being said... be careful not too long away for long if you're using the magnetic eye shield. I did, and almost paid big time even sitting 5 feet away. A piece that cut out was sticking up and caught the eye shield, partially knocking it off. It somehow wedged between the laser module and the work piece. I noticed a burning smell and looked over to see a nice little fire going. The eye shield was destroyed along with the work piece, thankfully that was all. That said, I definitely recommend this for your next upgrade. Just be safe, and aware.

Good replacement for Atomstack M50 10w
Worked right off the bat after mounting. My laser is a 12v 3pin. Worked perfectly. I'll even say that this laser is a lot better than the Atomstack M50-10w I bought for almost a $100 more. This laser cut through 3mm basswood at 90% power and 750mm/m. 2 passes...The M50 was 100% power and 500mm/m, 3 passes. The fixed focus on this is a little longer than the old head meaning the laser is above the work piece more.. I like that. Hoping with the lesser power it will last longer than the M50 did.

A great upgrade
This doubled the laser power of my AtomStack A5 Pro. Lasertree provided instructions for installation and use. They also provided focusing shims in 3, 4 and 5 mm so the laser can be focused based on material thickness and operation (cut vs engrave). The installation was a breeze, though I did have to remove my z axis adjuster. Everything else was a straight bolt-up. I did place the driver board atop the x axis carriage using double sided foam tape,

Good laser, not a plug and play replacement
The laser seems to work well and is a good upgrade from my 4.5w but it is not a drop in replacement. I have an Ortur Laser Master 2 (OLM2-S2-LF) and I needed to 3D print some parts so it would mount correctly and not interfere with the Y-limit switch.

Glad we upgraded
The laser module was plug and play. Much faster and cleaner burn than the old one. My old module was a fixed height so the difference in side and front clearance gave me a few issues but I added a piece to the carriage and they worked fine.

It’s pretty awesome in the focal is extremely sharp. I really like it.
I just got it hooked up today and have been using it for about four hours so far so good packaging was awesome. I would definitely give it a five star at this point time will tell.

Great laser engraver / cutter. I'm using it on an Ortur machine and it was plug and play, I didn't even need the additional PCB. Just needed to upgrade the power supply as the 36W supply that came with the machine would overheat if I ran the Laser at 100% for more than a few minutes. Engraves with really fine detail. Was able to mark steel (razor blades) without any prep, and engraved on Aluminum with dry erase marker trick. Cuts thin plywood no problem, including cutting about 10-12mm into plywood on a torture test. I would say 8mm plywood should be no problem for this machine, maybe even 10mm with some specific plywood. I really like the height adjustment mechanism, though I do wish the lens cover / air assist portion was screwed on and not just friction fit as I've had a few occasions where it shifted and interfered with the laser. The module is only marginally heavier than the old 5.5W that came with the machine, but it is bigger, so I had to use a spacer on the machine to make sure it hit the homing switch on homing.

Excelente producto!! 1000% recomendado

Love this laser. Had a 5watt on my foxalien and was so frustrating. Switched to the 10watt laser and night and day difference. Works as expected. Will only do 4 star because had to buy the adapter separately for power supply. Wasn't included
