Waterman Hémisphère Ballpoint Pen | Stainless Steel with Chrome Trim | Medium Point | Blue Ink | Gift Box

This pen is really elegant and beautiful. I bought it as a gift for my wife to use in work following a promotion. It is smaller than your average pen, which I knew from other reviews before purchasing, but I went for it anyway because she has small hands. She informs me that the smaller size has meant that she has had to adapt her grip to use it. Nevertheless, she loves it and says that it is a pleasure to write with. The quality appears to be very good; it is sturdy, has a good weight to it and the finish is excellent. The pen comes with blue ink only, so I bought a black refill made by same company in case she would prefer black. I would recommend this pen to anyone who is after a quality writing implement, just bear in mind the size if you have large hands.

I've owned the ballpoint version for 4 years now. In that time I've replaced the cartridge a couple of times so the pen, while used daily, isn't used for long writing spells, but noting down ideas or key bits of information. For this purpose it's a lovely pen to use. Looks great, durable and elegant in the stainless steel and gold version I have. The pen is on the small size so I would look to buy a larger, thicker model if I needed to write more. The pen is forgiving for daily use with the ballpoint and the Waterman replacement cartridges are smooth on paper. I'm very happy with the pen and have received compliments on the pen in meetings, which is nice as it wasn't overly expensive.

No downsides to this ballpoint from Waterman. Stunning looks(did I write that?... must be ‘lockdown!’) slim body and matte black finish, means the pen is easy to grip and comfortable to use for long periods writing. The pens’ fine point is just right for me, tho’ standard ink colour is blue, ordered black, fine refills separately... no problem... was bought as mate to the Hemisphere fountain pen & Hemisphere rollerball received as Christmas presents. This ballpoint is great. Cannot fault it. Its sheerness of finish, its gold trim ( not at all ‘flash’) and its smoothness of non smudge line is good for both cursive or italic hands. Highly recommended for personal daily use or as a gift as the Hemisphere range arrive in their own presentation box... so great as a gift.... Go for it! buy it. Use a Waterman Hemisphere wherever you live! Excellent, if there were six stars I’d award them. Excellent delivery time & reasonable price to boot. Treat yourself!

After many years of using Parker ballpoint pens, followed by a brief flirtation with Sheaffer, I discovered Waterman Hemisphere pens. They're fairly slim but still offer a good, well balanced weight, and the ballpoint refills are simply the best I've ever used, being ultra smooth and very long lasting. I've always kept two of them on the go, one with a black refill for official documents, etc, and one with a blue refill just because it's my preferred writing colour. Sadly, one of my Hemispheres vanished - probably lost - a few months ago and was well overdue for replacement when this one popped up on a ridiculously well-priced Black Friday deal. The silver and gold wouldn't have been my first choice of colour (and if I'd waited a few days I could have had the all silver model for the same price) but in the hand it looks and feels just as good as my much older lacquered coloured one. This model is one of the cheapest in the range and as such is excellent value. If you need a good pen and don't have a burning need to spend more than necessary on a particular colour choice, you really couldn't do better than to buy this.

Beautiful pen that would be a perfect gift (nicely boxed) as it looks very expensive. Just the right weight and size to use, not as heavy and bulky as some of the other "fine pens" available - I really enjoy writing with it. The ink usually comes out very smoothly (although occasionally it stops working and I have to scribble a bit to get the ink going). I originally bought a rollerball pen from another company that was very "scratchy" and returned it. The only thing that might have been nice is to have included a spare ink replacement cartridge (as the other company did).

I initially intended to purchase a Parker Jotter ballpoint, but although they are a robust pen they've become less desirable 'cause of the many given away free on TV for applying for life insurance etc. I wanted something with more class and was immediately taken by the Waterman Hemisphere in chrome. It arrived in a very smart presentation box, and soon as I picked up the pen I was impressed by the quality feel to it. It's a nice size, not being chunky but still retaining a decent amount of weight to let you know you've invested your money wisely. It came with the standard blue refill, but I'd ordered a replacement black Waterman one which was fitted with ease (I prefer to use black ink). As I was delighted with this pen, I then ordered the matching Hemisphere chrome mechanical pencil, and I was equally impressed with that purchase. I also ordered a leather pen case for them, 'cause their quality deserves it!
