Games Power JS285 Flight Control - USB Joystick and Throttle (PC DVD)

Got these as I didn't have the money for one of the more expensive Hotas set ups. I really like them, been using them in War Thunder and they work great. All the extra buttons are perfect for me as i'm using a budget VR set up, so I can't see the keys on my keyboard. Having the buttons all over the flight stick and throttle really helps out as they are easy to find without being able to see them. I'm new to PC gaming so this set up is perfect to learn with. Both the flight stick and throttle are well made, the throttle is pretty big. The one small gripe I have with the joystick is the number 2 trigger, it's supposed to be for your little finger, I find it gets in the way more often than not, but that might just be me.

Really not the best of quality but given that I wanted one and hadn't the funds to get a better one this does the job but is clunky and the buttons are very sensitive, some press even when you aren't touching them. I do find that the throttle control makes up for everything wrong with the stick. Probably wouldn't buy again.. I feel it will probably give up before I do

Great product with throttle for the price. A very good step up from simple and basic joystick.

This HOTAS is terrible. Cheap and nasty. you get what you pay for. The build seemed OK at first for the low price. But the throttle lever didn't work even though it was getting power. Altered my review after getting a Saitek X52 Pro

i give this product 4 stars not because its quality against other HOTAS joysticks but because of its quality against other joysticks of its same price, the thrustmaster HOTAS feels very plasticky compared to this and the blackwidow while feeling better doesnt give the flexibility this does, nothing in this price range or below £75 give what this does, i have used it for about 16 hours total time now on games such as Elite: Dangerous and Star citizen as well as other games as warthunder, i have not had any calibration issues as other says they have had, i installed the driver disc and everything works just fine. Pro's: cheap, Flexible, A lot of buttons for mapping, Seperate mapping features, Cons: plastic feeling (but nowhere near as bad as others) tough tension on joystick (but not overly) clicky buttons but using a headset this wont matter pinky trigger is a little too soft to press. Verdict: as a starter Joystick i would recommend this and i have, considering its price it is a very well built piece of kit, i prefer some features to this than my X52 PRO, but it you are going for an advanced joystick to last years it probably is not for you, that being said if you take care of it and dont throw it at walls like some people it could possibly last you a long time.

This Flight Control is OK for the price, but I've been having issues using it. Randomly buttons get triggered even though they are not touch/pressed, a few times it has made me crash into things, quite annoying. Also the joystick seems to get stuck in the down position just after been pushed up. I've only had the thing less than a month! ----- Edit ----- Since I wrote my review it got MUCH worse - so I'm returning it and getting a Thrustmaster instead

Tbh I read the other guys review and I was worried. Have to say very sturdy Joystick. Plays perfect for Elite Dangerous. But for £38 your not going to get LCD readouts and such but it has enough buttons and enough features to keep me playing and having fun.

Ich habe den Joystick nur kurz ausprobiert. Wieder eingepackt und zurück geschickt. Der Joystick hatte kleinere optische Mängel, die aber nicht besonders tragisch gewesen wären. Es bringt mich aber zu der Überlegung, ob er schon einmal als Retoure zurück gegangen ist? Den einen Stern gibt es aber dennoch nur, weil 0 Sterne nicht möglich sind aus folgendem Grund: Wenn man den Knüppel nach unten links zieht, gibt es irgendwann einen Punkt, bei dem das Ausgangssignal an den PC umspringt und der Joystick gibt an, dass man den Knüppel nach unten RECHTS gedrückt hätte. Damit ist er leider absolut unbrauchbar. Ich habe ihn somit zurück geschickt und mir den Preis erstatten lassen. Es ist also möglich, dass es eine Ausnahme ist.

An sich ein wertiges H.O.T.A.S System. Unter Windows funktioniert es einwandfrei. Unter Mac OS X leider unbrauchbar, wird nur als externe Tastatur erkannt und blockiert Maus und Tastatur komplett.

RZ- Achse des Joystick gibt falsche Signale aus und ist übersensibel habe mir den Joystick für Elite Dangerous gekauft da sehr viele Tasten am Joystick und zugehörigen Throttle stick vorhanden sind. Aber durch die defekte Achse ist ein richtiges Gearen innerhalb des Spiels nur noch schwer möglich das Problem lässt sich auch nicht durch neu kalibrieren des Joysticks lösen. Leider zu billig produziert

Der Joystick ist wegen dem geschlossenen Bügel nur für kleine Hände geeignet. Viele Knöpfe sind nett, aber die Präzision läßt zu wünschen übrig.
