Looks, feels, and sharp like a more expensive knife
Excellent weight. Holds edge. Overall a good-looking knife that feels like a more expensive knife at an excellent price

Love the curved blade, good value knife I have used daily for a few years
I bought this 4-5 years ago on Amazon and have used it quite a bit, love the bird beak blade for cutting into fruits and veggies. To me the curved blade is a lot better than a small, straight-blade paring knife. I bought this one again as the tip was bent and the knife was well used. The new one arrived, straight point and sharp edge. So sharp my sister-in-law was washing the dishes and sliced her finger. So beware, it is a low-cost knife but does arrive sharp. Pleased with this find and was happy to see it is still being sold. I even didnt reorder from my history, I found it by image and thought it looked close to my old one and it was an exact match when it arrived.

Why didn't I know about the bird beak before now?
A recipe I wanted to make suggested using a bird's beak paring knife. Having never heard of one I searched Amazon and chose this one. I LOVE it!!! It made removing the seed from kumquats a breeze. The knife itself is heavy, sharp and ... wonderful.

Excellent Value, Build Quality
I'm not sure you can beat the price/value metric for this knife. Does anyone really need a bird's beak paring knife? Probably not but for some reason I like using one from time to time to cut the tops off of strawberries or peel some garlic. Decent German steel and otherwise fine build quality. I'm not sure what else you could ask for in a $10 knife. Perhaps the full tang construction and bolster are a bit of an overkill for a knife this size and you might consider a thinner, lighter knife depending on your hand size and strength. My other small go to knife is a Henckel 3" paring knife with a red plastic handle - no bolster, no full tang. I can see how it's slimmer, lighter build might be attractive to some. I have one nit to pick and that's the fact that the full bolster extends all the way down the length of the blade. Now a full bolsterdoes add strength to a blade and I could see having one on a 10" chef's knife which I might occasionally use to hack a bone. Otherwise, on a smaller knife like this I would prefer not to have it. Not having a full bolster would make it a little lighter, easier to handle and more importantly, easier to sharpen. But if you're dead set on this type of knife/construction I don't think you can go to far wrong with this one.

Nice birdbeak, larger than expected
Looking for a birdbeak paring knife like my grandmother's, which I loved, and this seemed a good place to start. I have only had this a couple of days, but so far am pretty happy with it, and the price is just right for this lovely knife, and to check out this brand. It is sharp, seems like good steel, although the finishing on the blade leaves a bit to be desired - like they skipped the last two polishing levels, machine marks in the blade etc but given the price, not surprising. The handle is finished superbly, very smooth, satin finish - so they spent the time where it was important. It is forged and full tang. The handle feels very good in the hand, comfortable and weighty. Do know that this is a large, heavy knife, not the tiny bird beak I was expecting. I have medium large hands, and the handle fit is perfect for me, so just an observation for potential buyers. The balance falls on the second and third fingers, back about a third of the way into the handle. I have not yet used this on a major peeling task, like canning peaches, so I don't know how the heavier weight will effect wrist tiring on extensive use (which was mentioned in another review), or more delicate hands. If you are hesitating because you think this price may indicate junk, wait no longer.

Great feel in this man’s small hands
If you like a knife with some weight to it, you will love this knife. It is very sharp and easy to maintain with a sharpening steel. What a great knife for fine detail work, and great for opening packages! I highly recommend it if you like your knives on the heavier side. If you like a very light one, you might consider the Victronox Bird Beak Paring Knife.

Extreme caution- VERY SHARP Knife. Cuts clean with almost no pressure!
This is a very well made knife!. Great for most kitchen food prep tasks. A joy to use as it will slide through most fruits and vegetables with very little force needed. Keep your fingers away from this one!! Very nice grip, well packed and so far has kept the nice sharp edge and there is no sign of rust or tarnish, indicating high quality steel has been used. My new favorite knife!
