UPDATE: Thought I'd update my review for this piece of kit now it's been used a bit. Still works great, and saves me a ton of time with the wire stripper - all you have to do is twist and it's gone. Super simple to use once you get the knack of it. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a cable crimper, and my colleagues at work are swapping their own ones for these. Fantastic piece of kit. Feels sturdy in your hand. The various blades do the job quickly. Crimps the connectors firmly.

These crimpers work really well, and I am impressed at the quality. The cable cutting and stripping tools work extremely well and make prepping the cable super easy. The ratcheting mechanism has saved my bacon a few times too. It's great when you accidentally slip or need to adjust your grip, and ensures you crimp correctly every time. I'd definitely recommend these.

This was my first time crimping RJ46 ends. It cut the plastic sheath without damaging the inner wires, crimped the RJ45 ends with ease and helped repair/make several cables without fault. It feels comfortable to use to this novice and I'd be confident using this to make lots more cables. Will be doing this with all future cables.

Ideal for the job I needed to use them for, fitting home security PoE cameras. Had a few failed attempts due to poor technique, but after watching a youtube video where they demonstrated the complete straightening out of the twisted pairs and a gentle bending and massaging of the wires into the correct sequence and I was soon crimping like a pro. I can't rate these highly enough for price for the home DIY'er. Some crimpers a criticism was that the blades blunted quickly, for me the blades cut fine every time, just need to know which way round to hold them when using the different blades.

I have a long run of cable from my router. A while ago the RJ45 plug at the laptop end started playing up and then the connection died. I was looking at having to move furniture and lift carpets to replace the cable when I thought instead about putting another connector on the existing cable. I watched a few internet videos, bought this crimper and some connectors and had a go.... worked first time! And now, if the connection goes again - as it eventually will I'm sure - I can just fix it again. Very happy with my purchase.

Forget about the cutting, stripping etc. they are all easily done by other commonly available tools. This is all about the crimping and the beautiful ratchet action on this tool works every time. I recommend using it with high quality tri-prong connectors for best results.

I bought this as I liked the multi-faceted features of the product. In the end I used it mainly for wire stripping the sheaths off my Cat6 cable, so I've not used the cable crimping tools as yet. I probably wouldn't buy this product next time, but only because I now prefer to buy pre-terminated Cat6 cable rather than crimping the cables myself. As a home user, the numbers of cables used mean you may as well just buy the Cat6 already terminated at the lengths you require, as the price differential is minimal. And buy buying them pre-terminated, you are less likely to have problems. At least that's my experience - maybe I'm just not that proficient at terminating the cables.

I used these for terminating plugs onto Cat 6 cable after a failed attempt with a cheaper crimping tool. That said, the previous attempt was with Cat 5 plugs so probably not the old tool's fault. This one though feels much better made and the ratchet system means you know when you've pushed down hard enough.

La he sustituido por dos de plastico que tenia para crimpar RJ11 y RJ45. He probado desde UTP de 8 hilos, pares telefonico y manguera telefonica de 4 hilos y todo perfecto y sencillo. Sirve para RJ11 4 contactos RJ12 6 contactos y RJ45. Introduces la manguera y al mismo tiempo que la corta debes de hacer un giro de muñeca para que marque la funda exterior. Despues solo con tirar sacas la funda quedando la longitud de hilos necesaria para los conectores. Yo para ver bien como funcionaba pele varios formatos de hilos y crimpe un conector RJ11 y RJ45. Es la mejor manera para ver el correcto funcionamiento y sacarle todo el partido necesario a la herramienta. Hecho de menos que se pueda quedar cerrada pero lo he solucionado colocando una cadenita de lavabo que la mantenga cerrada para poder guardarla mejor. El material de muy buena calidad y el acero de una gran dureza. Me costo bastante el poder taladrarla con una broca de 3mm para colocar la cadenita.

Une pince bas de gamme devient vite un enfer pour faire un câblage propre. Personnellement je vous conseille de mettre un peu plus cher dans cette pince par exemple, et vous gagnerez du temps. la coupe est impeccable le sertissage également, bref un sans faute pour cette pince qui n'a qu'un seul défaut son prix, comme pour tous les outils de qualité.
