I bought this for my rescue gerbil Binx’s sand bath and it is amazing quality. It sifts out a lot of the waste and random bits of things she takes in there. The scoop is a compact size and really works well for what we need. I had a larger scoop purchased from another company and it is no where near as good quality and design as the NiteAngel brand. I highly recommend this one!

Pros: Big enough for a larger sand area; too big for a small dish or habitrail house. Great sifter, good on straight sides. Does an outstanding job with fine hamster sand. Easy to keep clean. Cons: Hard to get into curved sides. I use it in a curved corner sandbox, but it does a pretty good job, nevertheless. Much better than a small teaspoon scooper. Overall, I'm happy with it.

I actually do not use this for it's intended use with hamsters, but for my leopard gecko! She has a designated potty area in the corner of her enclosure. The plastic larger reptile pooper scoopers were not the best at getting the area as much as I would have preferred. But this scooper is perfect! Great size! Strains all the poop and urates. It's actually really useful because I have half of her enclosure with reptisand and the other half with topsoil, playsand, and excavator clay 40/40/30. The area where she does her business is usually in the sand where she likes to dig around as well which covers and hides some of her poop/urates. This scooper helps me dig around as well as detail clean her loose substrate areas. In the photos, you can kind of see the before and after cleaning in her corner section. I also appreciate that it's easier to clean than the plastic ones. I'd recommend this for leopard gecko owners as well, not just for hamsters. Leopard Gecko approved! 🙂👍🦎

I am soooooooooooooooooo happy with this purchase!!!! Before, I was using my hands to clean out the pee from my hamsters sand pit. This product is amazing, I wish I bought it sooner! It's so simple to scoop up the pee and get rid of the soiled sand. I love that I can very gently scrape off the soiled sand that made it to bottom of the sand pit too! Before, I was entirely replacing the sand too often and spending so much money on sand. This product will allow me to fully clean her sand pit way less which saves me a lot of money on the desert sand ( which is VERY expensive) I totally recommend this scoop. It is so cute and works great. It is totally worth the money! EXCELLENT PRODUCT!!!!!

This sand scooper works great cleaning my gerbils’ poop. It allows the sand to be re-usable. It’s very easy to clean too. I wash it with dish soap, rinse it very well and then let it air dry on a paper towel. I love how the handle is stainless steel and very sturdy!

I would 100% buy this again. I really liked that it's smaller so it can fit better in small spaces, and easy to store. I also appreciate that it grabs a lot due to its small size of space in the mesh. I would recommend you to buy this, it is a life changer!

Perfect tool for cleaning the sand in a hamster/gerbil sand bath. It's small enough to comfortably fit into the sand bath box and it sifts out the sand while retaining the poop nuggets and bedding bits. A few minutes of sifting and the sand is fresh and clean again!
