My father has Frontotemporal Degeneration and has started fidgeting with his old watch, constantly messing up the time, then getting confused as to what time it is. It has become a problem due to him arguing with us on what time it is and constantly confusing himself after compulsively adjusting the crown on his old watch. I am thankful to have come across this type of watch, which does not include an adjustment crown for him to fidget with. The quality reflects the price of the watch, which is satisfactory and more than enough for his needs. The important features of this watch is that you can adjust the time with a mobile app as opposed to the watch itself, essentially preventing him from messing up the time when he fidgets with it. While I know there is a way to manually change the time on the watch itself, thankfully it requires just enough extra steps to prevent him from figuring out how to do it himself (at least so far). The app is installed on my mothers phone, where she can control the time as well as set alarms for him, which is a useful feature. Please note that any time you wish to set slarms or set the time using the app, you must pair the app with the watch. This makes sense because if the watch and app were always connected, the watch battery would likely not last very long. Pairing the mobile app with the watch was simple enough, as I was able to walk my mom through it over the phone. I hope its durable enough to last the remaining years we have with him.

Brilliant watch. Easy to use once set up (Everything is done via a phone app) and off you go. Tells the time not only with hands but also by pressing a button that then says the time out loud. Press again and it tells you day and date. Great for when you wake up in the middle of the night and dont want to wake your partner by turning on the light to see the time. You can also set alarms (again via the app) to remind you to take your meds etc. Customer service is good and responsive too Only 2 down sides; You cant increase the voice volume, and the ANNOYING american voice that is used for the announcements. Would have been nice to have option to choose voice a la sat navs. Apart from those 2 niggles buy it, you wont be disappointed.

I recently purchased the Five Senses Smart Atomic Talking Watch With App and found it to be a good purchase for visually impaired people. It has several positive aspects. In the Eastern Time Zone of the United States, radio communications with the standard atomic clock station WWVB in For Collins Colorado is problematic. With other atomic watches, the synchronization is successful about 50% of the time. Particularly during bad weather or times of solar activity, synchronization is difficult. This is why the use of the smart aspect of this watch is essential. With the synchronization with the smart phones as a back up, you can almost always be sure that your watch is keeping the correct time. As far as the interface with the app on the smart phone, it works quite well with the VoiceOver screen reader that is part of the built in accessibility on the Apple iPhone. It took me less than fifteen minutes to figure the app out and how to synchronize it with the smart watch. All in all I rate this watch with five stars and recommend it to any visually impaired person seeking an easy to use and affordable talking time device. I keep getting requests to do reviews from the seller. so I have nothing to add other than I have had the watch for several months now and it still works great!

I bought this talking watch because I personally thought the voice was alot clearer than the the others on the market. The woman says the time quite crisply I've always been able to tell what time she said some talking watches you have to listed to the time multiple times because of the terrible low quality recording and speaker. It let's you setup pill reminders which is nice but there's only a few different voice line options and most are repetitive. It's still a useful feature to be able to set alarms. There's no volume setting which is slightly annoying. I mean it's loud enough but it would be nice if it really went high. That's a problem alot of these watches have though. The watch instructions say but the first thing you need to do is download the app and follow the instructions there. It's only a few button presses and then the watch automatically sets the right time, after you've set the time and alarms you no longer require Bluetooth and everything is saved to the watch ( a very big positive). The watch face is better than the pictures in my opinion, the metal bezel looks nice unfortunately its surrounded by a cheap plastic frame. The watch doesn't scream premium. Alot of talking watches don't have inspired designs though and this one's functionality puts it ahead of the competition. Only 2 buttons too so nice and simple. It comes with an extra battery and promises to be Replaceable which is good. I am worried about how long that software will be supported though. In 10 years if there's no app how will you set the time? And on the inside of the watch I spotted a small amount of corrosion. QA should investigate. So then you might think I'd give a negative review, those are substantial points, the watch looks cheap and the software requirement makes it a potential brick in the future. But I still think the trades off are worth it here, you get the clearest voice of any talking watch, and an alarm system, it automatically sets the time (and is reset in app) and can setup alarms for pills, ect. These are functions that other talking watches don't have, and also at a similar price of 39.99 (at the time). So for the kind of person who needs one of these (elderly, people with alzimers, sight impaired) this watch is actually very good and ticks off the boxes on what they need vs their competition. The alarm setting alone actually puts this watch leagues above it's competitors. And so you need a talking watch I'd recommend this one.
