I’ve developed allergies, IBS, and stomach ulcers. Now my A1C is 6.1, and I have insulin resistance. I also LOVE snacking—so now I’m wondering why I ended up with all these issues…Recently, I decided I needed to stop what I was doing. My face and hands felt and looked swollen, so I bought a blood glucose kit. 4 weeks ago, my fasting blood glucose was 123. After I cut out a lot of carbs and sugar and started stopping eating at 6 PM, within a few weeks my fasting glucose dropped to 80. I also lost weight—from 142 to 137 within 4 weeks!.My goal is 130, but ideally I’d like to get back to 125 so I can feel better mentally and physically.

Nice packaging, monitor seems to work well regarding ease of use. No clue about accuracy at this point. The lancing device, however, is sketchy. It's possible, with minimal effort, to push the lancet too far into the device so the needle doesn't make it out of the hole when it's released. I thought the needle was too short, but when I measured it on a ruler, it's almost as long as it's possible to purchase, at least 2.0 mm, so that's when I started looking for a different problem. In order to get it to work, you have to put the lancet into the device just barely enough for it to hold. Test it by inserting the lancet, gently holding it and pushing the release, and then hold the lid up to it level with where it will be when it's screwed on and make sure the needle is projecting above where the hole is. That's how much needle will come into contact (and hopefully pierce) the skin.

INACCURATE! I checked my BG before going to my Doctor’s appointment, then at the their office (with their own device), then AGAIN after I got home… Here were the results: 83, 106 (office), then 84….all in the span of 1.5 hours. Perhaps it needs to be calibrated? I’m not sure, it passed the Control Test from what I’ve read in the manual. Please don’t buy this, I only bought it out of curiosity as I’ve been yo-yoing between normal and prediabetic. Do not rely on this if you require insulin!!!

The meter works fine But the test strips have no way to check The end for blood samples are not on most of the strips So I couldn’t use them…
