"YES" you can adjust the height of these fans by choosing a different downrod... all of these fans come with a 4-inch downrod (fairly standard), but the downrods for these fans are rather unique and you're unlikely to find a compatible downrod at your local hardware store if you need a longer length to adjust the height... I'd recommend going to Smafan or CarroUSA's websites to order the downrod in the length and color you need.
