But I returned this item because I saw an alternative which has a more convenient and quicker mechanism for changing the height of the stand. This one is a twist to loosen and adjust and then twist to tighten. The alternative has a quick release lever for changing height. I need to be able to change the height regularly but if you just wanted to set a height and stick with it then the twist and set would be fine.
