It’s not a sturdy box, it’s just storage/packaging. If they sent it assembled everyone would be complaining that it arrives battered, then you’d need a box within a box. I think this solution is fine 🙄 Moisture: These are alcohol wipes, so yes, they dry out relatively quickly, but I’m not sure how long people want to spend polishing their lenses… If you get on with it, the moisture level is more than adequate. The fact that they aren’t soaking wet and are quick drying alcohol is what makes them smear free, which they absolutely are, my lenses were crystal clear after a swift, no-fuss wipe. I even had just enough moisture left to give my phone screen a quick wipe over - effective AND multifunctional! What a day! Just crack on and you’ll be fine ❤️ Softness: There is no issue here. They are exactly the texture of those alcohol/antiseptic wipes you find in first aid kits. They are not going to damage your lenses in any way, I’m assuming the material used is necessary for the ingredients in the cleaning formula and that’s ok Sandra. They will not hurt your lenses, or your handy pandies. They do the job and they do it very well. Pity you didn't spot this earlier, but it's worth contacting Amazon to see if a replacement can be supplied. Since it has an expiry date, the product can reasonably be considered a "consumable", and as such should not be sold after that date. To be fair, with the millions of items Amazon stock, it wouldn't be possible to check each item and rotate stock like a supermarket can, so it's up to the customer to notify the supplier straight away. Amazon are usually pretty good about replacements and in any case, they should be notified that these wipes have an expiry date. Good luck. **Q: Once you use a wipe, do you have to throw it away or can you use it multiple times?** A: You have to throw it away. Think of it as a wet wipe. Each wipe is in a little sachet. You rip it open take out the wet wipe and clean your glasses, personally I think they are best after they dry a bit to clean and dry the lenses. But one dry they are like paper so you can't use it again. **Q: But it says there is alcohol inside!
