Versatile and great sounding.
Paired this with a JB on a Squier strat. Initially I tried messing around with push /pull and micro switches to get all the different configurations possible like split, out of phase, parallel wiring. To my ears these options don't actually sound any good. Maybe it was my soldering or simplifying the signal chain but It was only when I binned the switches and wired it in the standard full humbucker way , It really came to life. Clean ,it is smooth and warm and with some gain it wails and sings. I am very happy now. Paired with the JB I have an impressive arsenal of usable sounds. I don't like that "hot" humbucker sound and this is perfect for me.

Jazz pick up
Sounds amazing

this pickup is a great choice for neck on les pauls and semis
The alnico 2 bar magnet in this pickup sweetens up the neck position on a les paul to get those jazz and blues tones

Amazing tone, both in clean and distortion. Lovely warm, smooth clean tones and fat, thick warm lead distortion tones. Really versatile!!

Great for a Jazz, but be careful with what you pair it with
I bought this paired with a JB to replace a pretty awful stock Epiphone neck pickup, and I wish I'd have gone with the '59. I play with a fair amount of gain through an Orange Rockerverb 50, so its safe to say my style errs towards the heavier end of the spectrum. If you are like me and this is your play style and tone, go for the '59 in the neck. The Jazz sounds fantastic for exactly that, Jazz. In the neck position, it's thick, creamy and full sounding, just the quality you'd expect from a brand like Seymour Duncan, but unfortunately it barely gets any use from me now. It lacks the output to match the JB at mid-high gain levels, and when you switch over to the Jazz it sounds as though someone has sucked half the power from your amp. I'll admit it was my own fault and I should have picked the '59 pairing instead and perhaps done a little more research, but lessons learnt! Absolutely solid pickup, great at what it does. Just make sure its the right one for you!

Wires too short
The technician who installed this pick up said he had to add bridging wires , as the wires were too short to reach the volume & tone pots. Guitar is a PRS Custom SE 24 with Floyd Rose.

Wonderful, warm and versatile pickup.
I'll admit, I am more of a Fender guy but always wanted a Les Paul. I found a cheap Epi and decided to gut it and rebuild. I put this pickup in the neck and I am so impressed. It was had to adjust to the warm sounds of this humbucker compared to the Fender clean sound I was used to, but wonderful tones are plentiful. I love to roll the volume back just a hair and it really sounds great. Not only that, but if you add a little gain it can give you a fantastic gritty blues tone all the way to 70s rock distortion. It's not gonna do metal but I was surprised how versatile the pickup is. I paired it with a SD SH5 and I can get any sound I need out of this guitar. Quality pickups can be ridiculously priced these days so paying $100 for this pickup is an amazing value.

très chaleureux et polyvalent
rien a dire, je l'ai posé sur une guitare type les paul, avec corps en acajou, le son est très chaud. très intéressant en clair / crunch, mais aussi en lead pour des solo quand on ne veut pas un son trop tranchant !
