Fantastic value projector with native 1080p resolution
Considering the price that this projector usually sells for, you're not going to find a better projector in this range. This does project at a native 1080p resolution, unlike the majority of other projectors in this price range which are 1080p "compatible", however in actuality project at 480p. The brightness excellent, I don't think it's quite 6800 lumens, perhaps 75% of that, but it's still very good in this bracket. One slight con regarding the picture quality is that the red level isn't quite perfect, and can sometimes look washed out or a touch pink. That said, this is a minor issue and is barely noticeable compared to the red-bleed issues on other low-cost displays. This does tend to create noise from downscaled higher-res video inputs, and in this regard the "noise reduction" setting does very little, but this is a ~โฌ150 projector, and it'd be unfair to expect such issues to not be present. The sound is adequate for a built-in speaker, but not really suitable for long-term viewing. If you're going for a true home cinema experience, you should be hooking this up to a hi-fi/amplified set up anyway, or even directly lining this to stereo/5.1/7.1 speakers, of which there are plenty of great value solutions also. The I/O selection is good also, and comes packed with HDMI, VGA, and RCA adapter cables, all of which are great to receive included, regardless of their ubiquity. All-in-all, this is a brilliant projector at this price point, and could not recommend this more if you're only willing to spend <โฌ200; at that, you'll be hard pressed to find a better projector for less than twice the price of this one.

A great little projector! well worth the money.
I was a little bit sceptical about all the great claims ab out this projector but I decided to give it a go anyway to see, and after a month of using it I'm delighted to say that it lives up to the manufactures claims. I have tried several projectors in the past for my work as a graphic artist, I use a projector so I can quickly project an image and trace around the projection saving me so much time, and as far as Iโm concerned it beats them all. It meets all my needs and is the best one I've used, It projects a very bright clear sharp picture using my MacBook and iPhone, ether by cable, Bluetooth or WIFI, I can also use an ordinary USB and C type USB if I want, it has a sturdy little tripod which screws in the base and also has very easy to use push buttons to control it on the top, it also comes with a handy remote handset to use remotely. It came in a very smart strong box and zipped canvas bag to keep everything safely stored together, it also has all the cables and things it needs. The main reason I bought this projector is I can project smaller images close up on my drawing board to trace over for pen and pencil work, I also paint with oil and acrylic on canvas and I can project a photograph onto a canvas indoors in daylight so I can roughly sketch out a painting before doing the painting, again saving me so much time. The auto Keystone is a great feature compensating for any angle between the projector and the surface of whatever youโre projecting on to. And last but not least itโs great for projecting movies for the family.... we take it camping and the kids use it in their bedrooms with their friends. Overall, I am extremely happy with the Elephas DLP Mini Projector and as far as Iโm concerned its good value for money and I recommend this projector to others.

Great value and impressive performance
Overall a very good projector for the price. Physically, it has a nice and clean modern design, thankfully not the 90s look which so many projectors have. The lens cover is attached by a little string so you don't lose it, which is a nice touch. The picture quality is excellent after a few adjustments, native 1080p at this price point is very impressive and the focus wheel and up/down keystone adjustment makes it easy to get a crisp picture. No left/right keystone adjustment but I won't hold it against it since it's easy enough to point it straight on. Out of the box there's a little bit of artifacting around the edges of objects, but turning down the sharpness in picture settings will sort that out, it just seems to be set a little high from the factory. It's very bright, obviously works best in dim lighting but is still quite visible in anything but very bright or direct light. As far as I can tell it's one of the brightest at this price point at 6800 lumens. The remote and the UI is straightforward and works well with no delay, very easy to navigate the menus and change inputs etc. I bought this with the intention of using an external speaker, but the inbuilt sound is actually quite decent. It can get pretty loud and sounds reasonably full, better than some TVs I've had! Very impressed overall, especially for the ยฃ170 I paid.

Fantastic budget projector
I got this to have an outdoor party for my son and his friends, it was cheaper to buy this and a screen then to hire one. I was honestly only expecting to use this now and again, but we have been so impressed we have been using it every day since November 2020. The quality is outstanding its hard to believe how good the picture quality is for such little money. We started projecting on a vanyko 100" portable screen that we just put in front of our TV. I recently upgraded to a 120" electric screen now as its changed how we watch movies and TV. We added a roku Now TV stick which essentially turns the projector into a smart projector for Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney channel etc. We also connect to our surround sound amp using aux cable for full cinema experience. Highly recommend this. Cons. The drawbacks with this are, dust gets inside it very easily, you will have to clean it every 2 months, and that is not that simple as it's difficult to get at the lenses inside. Also the keystone is essentially useless, this projector only works when viewed square on, it is not designed for ceiling mount set up, where you need to angle it down. The keystone works in so far as it will square the image when angled, but the lower section will blur when you are angled down, you can't correct this with the focus wheel. Lastly it is not 6800 Lumens, it is bright and the picture is great, but that number is definitely exaggerated, maybe divide it by 2 and you will get somewhere closer. Overall a great introduction to projectors, but it is a budget projector so don't expect this to compete overall with the more expensive ones.

Easy to use, great product!
Simply: The fan is quiet enough to be okay, the brightness works well even in well-lit rooms, and it's easy to set up. Why I bought: I'm on the committee of our local garden club. I'm the only one under the age of 50, so technical stuff usually falls to me. We've had an old projector for years and years. It only used VGA, it was loud and noisy, and I think one of the feet fell off. I recently convinced the committee to get a new projector (which, if you know committees, is a lot of trouble). First, we got an old one that one of our committee members had. The fan was deafening and you had to have every light in the building be off to be able to see it. Oh dear. Then, we got this. We had our AGM with this machine and it worked an absolute treat. No more fiddling with VGA. Our chairman managed to set this up! And he's terrible with electrics. It's simple enough to use that our committee was amazed! I got to sleep through the event. Product itself: First, the wrapping on it is amazing. There are so many little covers and all the cables come in their own bags. It's nice to have, and it can make you remember what you forgot when you see an empty bag. The brightness is very nice. It's perfectly bright enough even in a well-lit room. You can actually see in front of you while you watch stuff! It's great. The fan volume's nice and quiet. You can hear it, but it's not too bad. If you've got audio going through the projector, it's just a barely noticeable thing. We mostly use it for powerpoints though. In terms of picture quality and how easy it was to project onto the screen? Well, we had to fiddle with the saturation during the initial set-up. We were able to watch a show on a screen and it was set up how we liked it within the first minute. We considered alternatives but I'm glad I recommended this one. I got lumbered with the job of storing it for the club and I might cheekily hook it up to one of my laptops to watch my shows in my room. Absolutely recommend this, especially for your frugal committee members!

Will not connect wirelessley to iphone, ipad or MacBook
Purchased this on Amazon Prime Day which was a week ago, although it appears the price is the same whenever bought as over the past week the price has changed twice, but so has the value of the voucher that can be applied to it, so the overall price has worked out to be the same throughout. First impressions were good. The projector was very well packaged and looked like an up-market product. It comes with a case that holds the projector, tripod and cables. Controls are simple to use. I did find the auto keystone didn't always work, and it was difficult to set manually as the picture goes when you try to adjust it so it's difficult to see the full effect of any adjustments until you go back to the picture. I found it worked when I connected my MacBook Pro using an HDMI cable. However, I could not get it to connect to my iphone, ipad or MacBook wirelessly. I made sure that all were on the same wifi network. The projector forgets the wifi once it has been turned off for a while, so the next time I tried to connect it wirelessly I had to go through re-entering the password (and I wish I hadn't chosen such a long password when I set up the wifi). When I choose the mirroring option on my Apple device, I can see the projector listed but it won't connect. I have contacted customer support several days and asked for help through their website but have not received a reply, even though on Amazon it says that customer services will try to help with problems within 24 hours. I also asked what power a powerbank needs to be as a back-up powersource when using this outside as I saw for other brands of projector a powerbank with an output of 65W is required, so I was wondering if this projector is the same. I suppose, as with everything, you get what you pay for and I was swayed by the good reviews for this product. In the questions a couple of people had said this projector works well in daylight which was something that I wanted. However, I've found that it depends on what you are projecting. If I'm viewing a powerpoint, then it is clear enough in a room with the lights on, however it's not suitable for viewing a movie as it is not bright enough. My main reason for purchasing this now was to have it in time to show a movie in a marquee for my daughters birthday party, but even though it is not in bright daylight, the image isn't bright enough to view a movie until very late in the evening. I'm going to look into returning this as the whole point in having it was to not have any cables - so not being able to connect wirelessly to it is a big issue for me. The sound is better when connected via bluetooth to an external speaker. I think it would be fine if just a couple people were listening to it in a room, but as I'm going to be using it in a marquee I think it needs the external speaker.

Good picture, terrible sound.
First off, please be aware that you are buying a second hand product here. I was not aware of this when I ordered, but on checking back, it does say used in the description, and so I blame myself for not being vigilant enough. The picture quality on this is good, I projected it against a cream coloured wall, which is far from ideal, and yet the picture quality is impressive. I have no complaints. It does come with a range of connectors, although it does not have USB-c direct connectivity. Since I had the appropriate connectors, this was not a problem for me and I could still connect from my iPad Pro. Unfortunately, the sound is dreadful. The projector itself sounds like a jet engine when turned on and seriously detracts from the viewing experience. The built-in audio is very poor quality and I am sorry to say that I could not get it to connect to external Bluetooth speakers, although it is supposed to have this functionality. I did manage to plug-in wired headphones directly into my iPad Pro, using an external connection not provided, but this means that only one person has access to the audio when using Netflix. For some strange reason, the audio works on the projector when I am viewing YouTube on Safari, but the sound is truly bad, which is very disappointing. I will give it another day or 2 to see if I get used to it, but at present, I am minded to return it. This is such a pity, as I really do like the picture quality.

Brilliant value projector!
So I first bought a projector the vankyo 410 for ยฃ89.99 and it came in a lovely carry case and was looking very nice.our first projector and family movie night was very exciting, especially when your 40 inch TV has now grown to around 115 inches.i was very excited but a bit disappointed that I didn't risk going for the more expensive but higher native resolution 1080p projector as this was 720p and i knew the improvements would not be that much more of a cost! So I returned the vankyo and went for the elephas q9 full hd projector instead.first impressions was that this thing was bigger than the vankyo and didn't come in one of those lovely carry cases to my disappointment.but as soon as I fired it up it was apparent that the brightness and colour was a vast improvement even in daylight. These projectors are budget and can't be compared to high end projectors that cost 3-4 times more which can run all day, these in my opinion are for movie nights indoors or outdoors and they really come alive in a dark room. The fan noise was a little quieter than the vankyo and the built in speakers were a vast improvement. I had to plug my portable speaker into the vankyo but the built in speakers in the elephas were good enough not to! The first movie I watched was about 150 inch and projected onto my white walls and was really impressed with the quality for the price. There was a instant improvement over the vankyo playing the same movie from the same source which was my portable harddrive plugged into usb playing full hd movie. And then I tested my firestick and we watched bake off for cancer research and was amazed at the picture quality...it was clearer than the previous movie I watched which surprised me as they were full hd as well, maybe because it was playing through hdmi and not the usb port I'm not sure but it was very impressive.... Especially for the price. I can't vouch for how long the product will last but there is a 3 year warranty card with 100% refund and as long as they keep to that promise I can't see why anyone wouldn't give it a shot. Some movies do look a little grainy but sometimes that's the way they were intended to be seen and let's face it for the money you can't get a decent 32 inch TV never mind a projector that goes up to 300 inch as quoted. I'll finish by saying it's worth the money in my opinion and I wouldn't have expected a picture this good for this price... Hope this helps people with making the decision.
