Will these only work for cluster flies, or can they be used to deal with other creepy crawlies and flying insects?

I used it in my loft many times it kills most things present at the time

Can this be placed on a wood surface? I have had a recent spout of black files in my shed but it has flammable materials.

No problem but I would suggest placing the bomb on a saucer just in case!! They work incredibly well.

Can this be used in a crawlspace under kitchen, would be sitting about 25cm beneath floorboards.

Think it would be ok, as long as you put it on something that won’t burn, as it starts off hot (as you have to light the wick). I used it successfully in a small area by taping it to a pole so I could get it into the ‘crawl space - worked really well, left it to fume for a few hours, all good.

How do you use these, i have drain flies. How can i kill them

you light them like a small candle/firework and after a small amount of burning they release the smoke that kills things ,you could float them on a small foil pie tray or something like that .They work best where the area is sealed though (room with door closed etc )
