Brilliant counter
I was looking for something small and easy to use for counting lengths of the pool without to much distration. This is perfect, easy to use ( i put it on my first finger and use my thumb to press the big button) no connecting to my phone or a satalite to see what else my body is doing like all these fancy ones. I would recomend this to everybody who finds it hard to keep track of their lengths. Comes with instructions but basically you press the little button till it shows a 0 then off you go and just press the big button every time you finish a lap. To turn off press the little button and hold for 5 seconds to put it back to 0 then repeat to turn it off. It comes with a battery already in. It does take a bit to get used to wearing but does not get in the way. Happy swimming.

Tallycounter
Very disappointed with this product. When you press to record laps, there is no way of knowing if your count has registered, no click feeling or the like on your thumb. I did a training session of 4 sets. The first set over counted by 2 laps out of 20. The second set was correct. The third set didnโt register as the device turned itself off before the end of the set, and I couldnโt record the fourth set as I couldnโt turn the device on again. The device has not turned on since. I presume that either the battery has run out, which is not very good for first use, or water got into the device, which is not good for a swimming aid. The device is now in the bin, if it had been more expensive I would have returned it.

Good little gadget, that allows me to concentrate on my swimming & not on counting lengths!
I kept loosing count of the lengths completed during my swimming sessions & the receptionist at the local leisure centre recommended a lap timer/counter. Having searched for most here on Amazon I settled on this one, mainly due to price; even though the postage was a little ott, but then as it was special delivery & I suppose it stops them getting lost. I have only used this once and it works. Tried at depths of 2m and still works, tried for a long time underwater, still works. Hopefully it will still work this time next year. It is easily adjusted using the buckle system and stays on the finger. It is easy to reset/adjust and read, even underwater and without specs. Yes it is small, but unobtrusive. Very pleased with item and the service from Amazon, thank you. Only 4 stars as unable to comment on reliability as still new.

Waterproof in swimming pool. Works well.
I use this lap counter to count swimming pool laps. I wear it on my index finger, and use my thumb to press the button. It is small and unobtrusive. I find it is easier to use if it is twisted slightly towards the side of my index finger. The button needs to be firmly pressed to record a lap, but this means that it cannot be pressed accidently. I haven't used it while also using hand paddles, but imagine that this might be a little tricky. The number display is small (think 80's digital watch display). Can be a bit tricky to read, particularly while wearing goggles, but this might be because my reading glasses floated away... I highly reconmend this neat little bit of kit.

A good bit of kit for the price
This lap counter is good value for the price. To date it has proved totally waterproof and accurate. That said, if I was buying again I would invest a bit more in another product. I find that although the counter is fairly chunky the actual display is not terribly clear (especially when wearing goggles). I don't have particularly slender hands but I have the counter fastened on the next to tightest hole so I think this could be a problem for those with slimmer hands. The counter works but it isn't easy to be sure that it has counted a length - no clear 'click' for reassurance. I think it is also possible to press the counter accidentally - for example on the end of the pool.

Works perfectly
I read other reviews before purchasing and followed the advice given so this works perfectly for me. I turn it on and off before and after each use. You have to press the little blue button quite firmly and hold it down for it to turn on. Press the big button to count the laps (that is quite responsive) then press and hold the small button to reset the count to zero, and press and hold again for it to turn off. I press the large button to count laps with my fingers above the water as other reviews said they had problems with water getting in and affecting it working?? (not my experience though) - it also means I can look briefly to see that it's worked (I like to keep track myself anyway). It's made my swimming experience a lot easier so I would absolutely recommend it.

Spot On for Lap Counter.
I have used it swimming twice. I am very pleased with it. it did exactly what I wanted it to do. I didn't want something that gives my all sorts of information, it just counts the laps & that is all I wanted at a reasonable price as well. if there was just one thing I could criticize it was that there wasn't instructions in with the lap counter. I did work it out though. To switch on is easy, press the small button once. To count the laps - push the big button once. To reset the lap counter - Hold the small button for approx. 5 to 7 seconds. To switch off - if there are laps recorded push the small button for 5 - 7 seconds. It will return to 0 then press the small button for 5 to 7 seconds again it should turn off. I will keep using it and see how it goes.
