Diamond Select Marvel Select: The Thing Action Figure

My son has been collecting these Marvel Select Figures for a while and was delighted to get The Thing. Like the other figures in this collection, this is a pretty large and sturdy toy. He feels quite hefty – even more so than some of the others in the series - and I feel sure he will withstand quite a lot of rough play as well as looking good on display. The product description suggests these should not be played with by children under 8 and there is a good reason for this, which is that most of these figures are very heavy. If a younger child were to throw this or hit someone accidentally with it, it could cause serious damage. However, older children will delight in the detail and they are articulated, so are good toys as well as looking great for collectors. Others have commented he looks out of proportion and that is undoubtedly true (although personally I have no idea what The Thing actually is!) but my son was delighted with him and that is what counts. If you are a collector you might thing he looks incorrect, but he certainly looks impressive.

This figure is solid, really heavy and very detailed. Some people is complaining about the head size but it's fine for me. A must Have, I'm thinking in purchasing Juggernaut to have all my favourite marvel big hitters together.

The paint and sculpt are great, but he's just too big in comparison to other big guys in the line. He looks fat in his pants and he's far bigger than he should be standing next to Juggernaut, it's like he's from a different line, not Marvel Select. I'm a bit disappointed and can't give it more than 4, especially considering both his arms have become loose with little to no use.

My son asked for the 'thing' and i couldn't find a toy version anywhere apart from good old Amazon! Its a bit pricey. But great quality, really quite heavy, and looks so nice, my son has decided to keep it in the box.

This is a great figure. He's a bit of a pin head alright but dont let that put you off. He's the best Thing figure available and has massive fists - it's definitely "clobber time".

Really great product for anyone interested in Marvel Select including collectors. Fully boxed and this one can be difficult to get

Du grand Marvel Sélect ! Comme toujours de très belles figurines avec bcp de détails. Pour ce personnage, il est très massif et très lourd. Mon fils de 7 ans est ravi.

Mio figlio di 4 anni lo desiderava ancor prima di nascere. Tutti i giorni da quando ha iniziato a parlare mi chiedeva del MORO ROCCIA ( alias uomo roccia) , e l'ho cercato invano fino a quando comparve qui. L'ho comprato e ne sono entusiasta, io come padre e mio figlio come figlio e mia moglie come moglie e se devo dirla tutta anche suo fratello come fratello. Ad ogni modo il prodotto e' di ottima fattura da collezione , molto pesante come la roccia vera. Adesso ogni volta che torna dall'asilo corre versolui e non verso di me abbracciando lui e non me. Ma sono comunque fiero di lui e dell'uomo roccia. Compratelo e' un prodotto eccezzionale.
