Quality product.
Great fertilizer. Use to be on powder form. Now in pellets. Boy does it smell! But pellet form is great for indoor plants as you can push pellets into the soil and cover. I would not store in the house!

The best of this type of fertiliser I have used.
Now I have to say I am not any kind of gardening expert, or even knowledgeable amateur! I am learning though, and sharing my findings on things I have tried. This stuff is outstanding and has to be about the easiest feed for plants I have come across. There are different ways to use it, but remember, ALWAYS wear gloves as this is not really the sort of stuff you want to put your bare hands into! As for the smell, not great - hey it is chicken ****! - but it is not at all strong or long-lasting. I would rather use something like this than some of the other "less natural" feeds on offer. I have found it is working wonders with everything in the garden, from potatoes and tomatoes, through to wisteria and roses as well as a general soil conditioner. I have mixed it onto the top of the soil where plants are in large pots or growing bags, and spread it out over more open spaces to act as a conditioner to the soil. Ideally do this before rain arrives and then the rain dissolves the pellets into the ground. In all instances I have seen notable improvements in growth rates (my courgettes are growing ridiculously well) and I think as long as you are sensible, you won't over-feed with these. For the price (sorry Amazon, my garden centre is now cheaper) these should be used by any gardener! And to be clear, 6X is the brand name, NOT the quantity of tubs! You get 1x 8kg tub. :) Thanks for reading and I hope you found this useful.

Easy to apply
Fast delivery, easy to apply and breaks down quickly once wet. Smells of manure for a day or so, it has to work its chicken poop.

Good organic option
Originally came across this while searching for a UK alternative to Milorganite. Organic fertilisers seem more popular in the US. I like the idea of soil improvement vs short lived synthetic fertilisers. Used as part of my general lawn care plan (London): I have used on my lawn since 2018 with no scorching, spread by hand at the advised rate for lawns (approx 2.5kg for approx 20-25 SQM (odd shaped!) lawn). My lawn is small-1 bag lasts me 2 years so great value. I always cut my grass very long at around 3 inches. I allow 4 days after all fertilizers before cutting. I use the back of a wire rake to brush the pellets down to the soil thoroughly- 20 mins plus on my very small lawn, and none were visible after I’d done this, so none were in contact with visible grass blades. I use a pre-emergent weed treatment in early March. I aerate, scarify and use a synthetic high nitrogen fertiliser (Scott’s Lawn Builder) in late March to kick start growth, a break for a few weeks allowing time for over seeding (last week of April) to germinate and establish with a top dressing, before hitting 6X. Whatever instructions provided for any fertiliser, I always heavily water in, for approx 45 mins. I use 6X once a month from 1st June to 1st September with Envii Seafeed Extra used every 2 weeks inbetween Mid June-mid September. Probably OTT as I have to mow a lot as a result. I scarify, aerate and overseed with top dressing again in late sept, with a Viano Mo Bacter application at the beginning of November and again in Feb. With any of these applications, all spread by hand on my lawn never had any burning, and I attribute this to even spreading, brushing down to soil and watering in very well. This must be much harder on short cut lawns. 6X didn’t smell at all once in the lawn, but the dust was unpleasant when weighing out, pouring into a bucket.
