It says 3.5 inches but it doesn't look it. help???** A: Definitely not 3.5 inches deep, more like 2.5. It is very big though and great for a cobb salad. It would probably work well for soup too but haven't tried. I'll see if I can attach some pics somehow. **Q: What is the height/depth of the bowls? They appear more shallow than 3.5 inches deep.** A: These bowls are very large and heavy. I do not remember the depth, my guess is at least two inches. Re very big bowls to handle a full course dinner including salad. **Q: Are these flat inside on bottom. While these aren't cereal bowls, they work for anything from snack platters, to salads/burrito bowls, to holding steak and asparagus, pastas & crescent rolls, or chicken teriyaki! These would also make fabulous serving bowls as well because of how wide they are, they could be piled high with food. I only have a set of 2 of these bowls so far but will certainly be ordering more since we use them daily. Update! Just ordered another set since we use them SO much. They still look brand new, you can't tell the new ones apart from the older ones. Love this brand so much. 2022 Update I love these bowls so much we use them everyday. They are pricy but well worth the price. Because of this I have tried to slowly order more over time. My original order was from 2020, and my most recent order in 2022. I was very excited to add more of these bowls but unfortunately the bowls are different from the originals I ordered. They are different heights and widths. (See photos) Although the new design to make slightly taller and thicker bowls is a good improvement unfortunately they do not match the original set I purchased from this same seller so for that reason I will be returning my newest order and I am stuck with my set of only 4 of the older design bowls.
