Hercules HA101S Auto Grip (AGS) Guitar Stand/Hanger System Lock Black

I was not convinced about trusting my Hercules wall hanger- irrational I know because I love their floor stand- with the safe keeping of my new £2k Les Paul but this made me relax: it’s a fiver’s worth of peace of mind! Robust enough to trust, simple to use. Great price for peace of mind, fits perfectly and inspires confidence.

A few pounds for peace of mind for your babbies. Could be stronger but they are a safeguard no security!! Don't need two keys in every pack given that they are not unique (thank goodness). I have 5 of these for my guitar hangers - leave my cheapest guitars and ukes unlocked so anyone can use but need key to take down the goodies. Saves them being knocked down by accident/cleaning etc too. Can use keys in guitar shop!!!

Seemed a little lfimsy at first glance but having secured all of my guitars into the yokes with these i am suitably impressed. They are sufficient enough to prevent my children from taking the guitars out and playing with them and have also ensured that when knocked the guitars have remained securely within their mount

I bought these (X3) to use on stage to lock my guitars to my triple stand during Gigs to prevent people helping themselves to my Guitars. They do the job. One thing to note is that these ones with the Yellow button have a larger key than the old Black ones. The yellow key will not fit the black ones but the black key will work in the yellow.

It is not a necessity but it is handy to have one. Good quality plastic.

Well, it is a little lock that adapt perfectly to the Hercules wall-hanger. If someone wants to steal my bass, he or she will have to get the wall with it!

As stated, it will not stop a theft, but will stop casual people without a sense of boundaries from picking up your instrument. We use it on a church platform to keep guitars and a bass from being messed with.

Love the idea of locking my guitar to the stand.

I am a big fan of Hercules products and have several of their stands and wall hangers. That said, this lock isn't particularly useful, especially for security. As the Auto Grip System on their wall hangers already hold guitars safely in, this lock doesn't really add much utility. It does ensure that the yoke won't open, but that isn't really a problem without it. As far as security, this adds nothing at all. It's so easy to unlock that I can do it with my fingers and never actually use the key. While I wholeheartedly recommend Hercules AGS stands and hangers, don't waste your money on this lock. It's essentially useless.
