Review: Reliable and Precise Capo for Every Guitarist - The Shubb C1N is incredibly easy to use. It has a simple, intuitive design that makes it easy to place on the neck of the guitar without any hassle. The adjustable screw mechanism ensures that you can clamp it tightly to your desired fret, which is crucial for maintaining proper intonation. It doesn’t feel overly tight or too loose, making it easy to adjust as needed without worrying about damaging the strings. One of the standout features of this capo is its ability to maintain tuning stability. Unlike some other capos that can cause the strings to go out of tune, the Shubb C1N ensures a secure grip on the neck without altering the tuning. This is incredibly important, especially when I’m playing live or recording, as I need to know that my tuning won’t shift when I switch to different chords. The Shubb C1N is built to last, with a sturdy metal construction that feels robust in your hands. The Nylon (C1N) material offers a nice balance of lightweight portability and durability. I’ve been using this capo consistently for a while now, and it still looks and works as well as the first day I bought it. The quality craftsmanship is apparent, and I trust this capo to withstand the rigors of regular use. Whether I’m playing my acoustic, electric, or classical guitar, this capo works perfectly on all of them. The adjustable pressure system ensures it can fit comfortably on any guitar neck, and it’s easy to move between different instruments. It’s versatile enough for both beginners and experienced guitarists who need a reliable tool for changing keys and experimenting with different sounds. Given the quality, precision, and long-lasting durability of the Shubb C1N, I believe it offers excellent value for money. It’s not the cheapest capo out there, but the precision and reliability make it well worth the investment, especially if you want a capo that will consistently perform without compromising your tuning. Pros: Precision and tuning stability, ensuring consistent performance. Easy to use with a simple, adjustable screw mechanism. Durable metal construction and lightweight design. Comfortable and ergonomic handle for easy handling. Versatile enough for acoustic, electric, and classical guitars. Excellent value for money considering its quality. Cons: The adjustable screw mechanism may require occasional tightening, but this is a minor issue that doesn’t detract from its performance. This capo is ideal for guitarists of all skill levels who need a reliable, high-quality capo. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned professional, the Shubb C1N will help you change keys effortlessly without compromising tuning. It’s perfect for anyone who values precision, durability, and a capo that’s easy to use. In conclusion, the Shubb C1N Standard Guitar Capo offers superior precision, excellent tuning stability, and durability. It’s an essential tool for any guitarist looking for a high-quality, reliable capo. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a capo that won’t let you down during performance or practice.
Review: Good enough for Clapton… - I bought the C-1 Shubb capo for my Clapton signature Acoustic- the Martin 000-28ec. This guitar has a 1 3/4 inch neck with a modified-V. In other words, a chunky neck: My Dunlop Trigger Fly capo was too tight and even a standard Trigger put too much of a squeeze on the strings. Thankfully, the C-1 is spot on. It works by fitting it loose then dialling in the required tension by twisting the screw. Once done, you can easily clip / unclip without any adjustments unless you’re moving more than a fret up the neck. Even then it only takes seconds to adjust. I was able to fit the C-1 from 1st fret to 7th without any buzzing or other problems whilst playing fingerstyle / steady strumming. Beyond that, the capo was not wide enough to guarantee clarity. Advantages: Fits both standard and wider 6 string necks; ability to fine tune tension thereby avoiding unnecessary pressure on neck or tuning issues; small and unobtrusive. Disadvantages: Not as quick to fit as a trigger; clipping the C-1 behind the nut / on the headstock when not in use may require its own adjustment (it does on the 000-28ec). Bottom line: small and perfectly formed, the C-1 is the best capo I’ve used on my acoustic guitar, and at a reasonable price too.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will this capo fit on a nylon stringed classical guitar? Yamaha nxc1? I used to have one of these shubb ones but seem to have misplaced.**
A: I would think that the neck of the guitar may be too wide for this capo, however if you had a shubb before then it may be ok.

**Q: I bought this a couple of weeks ago. the rubber part slides off each time i use it so the e string doesn't ring out correctly. am i using it wrong?**
A: Hard to say. Shubb`s are normally really reliable - it is the only capo I have ever used. Without knowing more details impossible to say. Have you bought the right capo for the right guitar? Are you adjusting the tension screw correctly.

**Q: Is this the one specific for electric guitars? My Kyser puts my tele out of tune...would this be the right one for me?**
A: I have used this capo on an electro-accoustic guitar. When I bought it, I read that it is fine for electric guitars too. It does not bend the string in use and is very gentle on the string so I would be surprised if it doesn't suit your purpose. I have used several capos over the years but this is my favourite. Great quality.

**Q: would this fit on a strat and les paul**
A: I tried in strat, les paul and takamine tan45c. It work perfectly
