The only reason I've replaced them through the years is the plastic hinged comb. If you think about it this is where most of the pressure is placed as its the area that goes against your face. The corners have snapped after time and so I need to replace the entire thing. Otherwise this has been one of the best clippers ive ever used for beard and occasional body or head tidy. No need for the more expensive one.
