Great product
Bought this for my new implants and crowns... Works really well, gets all the bits/debris from under my teeth very well. Doesn't run out quick either like the portable ones, I also found the portable ones to be a little weak in comparison, this one is much much better, i know your are restricted to a wall socket, but i think it's worth it. It has more and better settings, I was also quite impressed by the price at £80, as my portable one was £55 and wasn't really impressed with it's performance... This Waterpik is way more user friendly and feels so much stronger and better quality. It does not feel bulky a all as the hand held part is the size of a toothbrush on quite a long cable... Impressed really overall...

Simple to use, amazing results.
Not only does this Water Flosser make flossing that much more likely to happen by almost turning it into a novelty (I actually enjoy watching it flush all the bits of food out from between my teeth), but it also does a significantly better job than I've ever managed with string floss.Since I've started using this I no longer use string floss, my gums no longer bleed whilst flossing, and the amount of detritus that it washes out from between my teeth is genuinely staggering.I've also been to the dentist since having this and they asked if anything had changed in my tooth care regime as the difference between then and the previous visit was so significant. After I've used this my teeth feel clean in the same way they do after a hygienist visit. As a note on usage, I've found that rotating the adaptors on the top of the flosser section (of which there are multiple adaptors included - I've not used them all but all that I have used are useful) makes it much easier to hit every location. My dentist also advised that this should be used before brushing your teeth as to avoid washing away the tooth paste which helps to protect them. There is a 10 step power setting as well which allows you to adjust the pressure of the water jet being used, for me the sweet spot has been at pressure setting 8.5/5 would recommend to essentially everyone.

Cleans away pre=plaque and grunge bruhes can't do.
I like that this little machine works very effectively at removing pre-plaque and food particles otherwise left by tooth brushes and interdental brushes. I had no idea so much detritus was in my mouth! It makes my mouth feel squeaky clean, as never before with the use of a sonic brush - and my dentl hygeine was excellent in the first place, according to my dentists (now a rarified species). The customer service was excellent - as below.I don't like how flimsy it is and the flossing handle splits and stains where the plastic hose goes into the rubber housing at the other end from the machine. On asking the vendor how to fix/replace it, the machine was immediatley replaced, although I was told-off for not sending the first one back fast enough when in truth I had never been sent a return label or instructions until that demand - it was just cupboarded. So the same thing has happened to this handle, but I have used a fine piece of transparent duct tape to stop the split worsening, although the discolouration is still increasing, from mould, horribly enough. So keepig moud at bay meqans a lengthy drying process after each use.In addition, i was happily using it on my excellent gums until one area started bleeding - turns out it was set too high.A great device but tricksy to use and maintain.

THE BEST! Adjustable pressure
I absolutely prefer this over the handheld water flossers. I’ve tried the handheld ones before, but the pressure was not adjustable and they felt like knives cutting straight through my gums. It was way too aggressive for me.What I love about the Waterpik Ultra Professional is that you can actually control the pressure. I can start on a comfortable setting and gradually increase it as I get used to it, rather than having the machine attack my gums at full force 😂.After using it, my mouth genuinely feels so much cleaner and healthier, especially around the gumline and between my teeth. The adjustable pressure makes such a huge difference. They say it’s not portable, but honestly, hell, I’m bringing this thing with me whenever I travel. 😂 It’s worth the space in my luggage.Definitely one of my favourite dental purchases. Worth it!

The best Christmas present I could have asked for.
I was looking for something to replace plastic floss... And then found this! The Waterpik is one of those products people often assume is a gimmick, until they actually use it. It's very effective and he adjustable pressure settings make it easy to start gentle and increase as needed, which is great for sensitive gums. It’s simple to use once you get the hang of it, and the large water reservoir allows for a full flossing session without constant refilling. It does take up some counter space (or you can keep it in a drawer like I do) and makes a bit of noise, but neither is a deal-breaker.I personally love it, and my husband—who was convinced it was just a gimmick—is very impressed as well. After only a couple of uses, he’s already noticed his plaque looks significantly better.Overall, it’s a practical and effective upgrade to brushing that makes flossing easier and more consistent.

The best oral hygiene product I have ever owned
I took delivery of this on 6th November 2020 following a check up with my dentist. At my last visit to my hygienist in early 2020 she was unhappy with my oral hygiene and put me on a three monthly return. I brush with a normal toothbrush and toothpaste, then follow up with an electric toothbrush. So I am quite thorough, but my problem has always been flossing. I have tried everything including floss, floss sticks and those different size interdentals. The problem I have is the gaps between my teeth go from very, very tight in several places to quite wide in others. When using interdentals I need at least three different sizes. To be honest the whole routine was so trying I never really got into the habit, hence all the troubles with my hygienist. The visits were very painful - both for the earbashing I got, and the removal of the plaque. Hence the 3 months and the naughty step. When I visited my dentist for a check up in November she noticed the same problem and when I told her it was flossing she suggested a water flosser. So I ordered the Water-Pik and tried it. I bought the stand mount with separate handgrip for two reasons. I didn’t want to keep filling the reservoir whilst flossing, and I didn’t want to hold a heavy flosser in my hand whilst flossing. OK, so this is no use for travelling, but it’s great at home. I found it a delight to use. So much that I look forward to using it. I set myself the goal of using it every single night before I go to bed and despite some close calls I have achieved that so far. (If I miss one I’ll catch up in the morning.) The reservoir is large enough for me to do my whole mouth in one setting, and the handgrip is light and very easy to direct. So my purchase logic was correct. I also enjoy the feeling. Every night I floss I can see between two and five visible food particles dislodged. I am sure there are many more smaller particles I can’t see. Since I floss after brushing my teeth (both manual and electric) I can see that brushing isn’t removing those particles. Imagine how many would build up over a six month period.Anyway, to the point of the story, yesterday I went back for my dental check up and hygienist appointment. As usual I was dreading the usual earbashing. To my intense surprise both my dentist said my mouth was I perfect condition. Healthy gums, no plaque, nothing between the teeth. In dental speak, if you know this, I got 0s for everything. This has never happened before. My hygienist asked me how this happened and I told her about the water flosser. The dentist wasn’t very surprised as she has seen me a few times in between.Anyway, in summary, if your challenges are similar to mine, I can’t recommend this product highly enough. I confirm this is a genuine private review. I’m posting such a lengthy review to help people who may have similar oral hygiene problems to mine. P.S. my wife also uses it but she has always been a good flosser so never had my challenges.

Not was good as the plain and robust old versions
I am underwhelmed by this Waterpik. I have used Waterpiks since the 1970s. The first ones were very robust and basic with only an on/off and a waterpressure control. I had 2 in the early days both lasting more than 10 years. Models sold since then have lasted never more than 5 years and my last one only 2. They have had a variety of additional functions and have become quite flimsy. This current one has a very inconvenient hinged lid on the water container, a release switch for tip which is placed closely to the ( in my view unnecessary) second on switch on the hand piece making it easy to release the tip in error, a 'massage ' switch and a very stiff coiled water pipe to the handpiece. This coiled pipe has broken on two of my recent previous machines. Other recent 'enhancements ' have included a system for adding a whitening tablet - I found this less effective than whitening strips and very expensive to use. Overall I would like to see a return to the original basic machine and robust construction.

Its not a gimmick - really worth the investment.
I bought this, having struggled with conventional flossing for years.paid full price, and kept my faith that the which reviews would be found correct.I was not disappointed - once I got my head around the range of flossing tips, and pressure settings, the use of the device brought almost immediate improvement to my dental and gum health.I took youtube advice, and started off with the general purpose tip, and the lowest setting. The result was a pretty pleasant experience. The reservoir holds a couple of minutes of active use, and with a handy on/off control on the handset, the ability to control the flossing action is pretty easy, and intuitive. The fresh and squeaky clean sensation on my teeth is now easily achieved, and my only uncertainty is to whether or not to brush my teeth before of after the floss session. At the moment, I’m still experimenting with that.If you are a little intimidated by the size and general oddness of the machine - with a change of toothbrushing habit, I would just say to go for it. It works.I think I won’t take it on holiday with me, but I've got used to having it parked at the side of the sink.Update - Nov 2025 - It is still going strong and remains part of my daily routine, always at bedtime - and before brushing. I have convinced family and friends about its effectiveness, and I do find space for it in the carry-on bag.
