It's all heavy-duty and works better than expected.. Well recommended but you do need a 7' bar.. ### ⭐⭐ Rack is ok, bench not so much, a little disappointing *by K***N on 1 January 2018* I was surprised at the frame, better than I thought, but I wouldn’t have thought a steel frame could go “too” far wrong.But the bench it came with wasn’t great, it’s rickety and also very wonky. The actual welding on brackets isn’t done with any accuracy and the brackets as a result are very skew. With quite a few bits I had to “bash” some shape into them to even use them.The finish just lets it down.As a few others have said, the actual bench / brackets aren’t really in the right places, I also seemed to struggle to get a bar that fit well on the rack, and I already had 3 bars of varying size. Pretty much only full 7ft Olympic bars I think would sit in the rack ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Decent rack for the money. Bench a bit wonky. *by I***S on 18 May 2021* I bought this rack/bench combo a few months back before prices shot up, so my review here is based on that price. In summary, it's a decent rack and comes with a good number of accessories you don't get with racks in this price range e.g. rope pull, extra clips. Easy to assemble with straightforward instructions (although could use better detail on attaching the pully cables). I'm 6' 215lbs, and a very experienced lifter, well over "1000 club"... My view is while this kit is not commercial-quality, it does the job for 99.9% of people including myself. My key observations:Like most power racks with pully systems, you need to either do your lifts in the front/outside of the rack, or turn yourself around in the opposite way you'd normally face to do big lifts inside the rack since the pully apparatus impedes you from using a bar on the drops in the back of the rack. This is difficult to explain without a visual, but simply put, you eat pulley cable if you try to use the back drops with a barbell.There are 4x 2"/olympic plate converter cylinders that fit on the pulley weight stands, and the plate storage stands, but these are near useless as they shift around when you're moving weights on them and scratch very easily. If you have 2" plates, you can just set them on the 1" stands without the converters.The foam utility bar needs to be removed in order to move the positions of the safety bars -- it's easy enough to do with a small pin. In any case, I usually leave this bar aside/unattached since it's only used with a few exercises.The lat bar is a bit short, could be a few inches bigger. The pull up bar grip's knurling is too light, but I understand this may be a positive for some folks since they don't want calluses. I'm using a standard 7ft olympic bar, and it fits the drops fine with balance you'd expect from a power rack e.g. I can load just under three 20kg plates on one side before the bar tips.I can report the drops and safety bars do, in fact, hold up to 225kg fine.The bench is not the best quality. The padding is low-density, and the vinyl cover thin. The wheels are very weak and wear down easily.
