Review: A solid choice for kombucha brewers - I bought this pH meter to monitor my kombucha brewing. So far I've found it very handy and can't really fault it for home use. Readings tend to stabilize after about 4 seconds, which is pretty good. Calibration out of the box was off by about 0.15, but the included buffer packets lets you take care of that, which is nice. One thing to note is that the calibration is linear, meaning you basically just set an offset for the reading the meter gives. You cant adjust the scale if it gets off over time, so the meter will be less accurate as you get further from the pH of the calibrant. However, this shouldn't be an issue for non-scientific applications. tl;dr: A great choice for home-brewers, cheesemakers, and more. Can I reuse it for future calibration or it gets unstable after some time and useless?** A: Hey it gets unstable and useless I use ph buffer liquid seems to work better for me I don’t mess with the powder solution anymore **Q: Can this be used in hot liquids?
