It ties into the wiring you already get with a CTEC charger. **Q: This product is advertised with two pictures...... each picture is of a different product....... which is the corr picture that goes with this product** A: Mine arrived without the inline fuse but I don't think it's needed, I'm not sure why there is one in the second picture. **Q: Will this work on a bmw x5 3ltr diesel** A: see no reason why not. the discreet connector works well and is bolted direct to bolt/nut holding cable to battery post. Check that they are 10mm or less. The charger itself has performed faultlessly on a weekly basis for a number of years, seeing how long we can keep a GM battery going until its death-so far 11 winters - mainly local work. Its only 5amp so it could take a few hours to charge a down battery for a 3litre. Cable gets a bit unflexible in cold weather. In my situation it is connected to the car battery and connects either directly or through the CTEK extension cable to the charger. Silly me, I didn't know that the '10' or '6'' options referrred to the diameter of the connections to the battery - as I would have preferred the '6mm' ones.
