TFA Puck Kitchen Timer, Turquoise

Unfortunately this has now stopped working. It was great and I used it daily. I expected it to last years not months. I don’t think I’ve even had it 6 months. Very disappointing… This is exactly what I wanted! I like the colour (blue) and retro style - it suits my cottage kitchen. I stick it high up on the fridge so I can’t lose it to any little hands who might use it as a toy! Yes it does tick, but there’s so much other noise in our house it really doesn’t bother me. When it goes off I can even hear it upstairs, over all the other noise, so it’s great for stopping me forgetting I’ve got something cooking. Just remember to turn it right round to 60 before you go back to the number of minutes you actually need 😉

Have this timer stuck on the fridge like a bulky fridge magnet, works a treat with a loud ticking and bell sound when your food is done. very pleased.

Great magnetic visual timer. While kids don’t have a clear sense of time at a young age, they can visually see time decreasing as the timer counts down. It goes up to an hour and the fact that it's magnetic makes it a lot easier to set on the fridge and the children know where to look. The magnet is really strong. The timer is of a good size, meaning it is easy for an adult to use and easy for a child to see. Love the colour and the price. The only thing I don't like about it is the constant and really fast ticking noise, it would make mad anyone trying to get on with a quiet activity. For things like meal times and play, time to leave the house etc it works a treat, but please don't use this timer for homework if you don't want your child to end up with a nervous breakdown!!.

I was recommended this timer by The Study Boss my son’s tutor as a great aide for his GCSE revision and it is awesome. No batteries, easy to use and it shows the time disappearing which is motivating. I’m buying another two today!

I bought two of these, and both stopped working. Thought they were high quality initially, really liked them, but failed ultimately. For example, setting the timer for 40 minutes, but the first 15 minutes were wiped out in less than 15 seconds. Both now in the bin 😕

Very reliable in regular cooking use

I set this timer every school day morning, when the buzzer sounds it’s time to get shoes and coats on. My young kids can see the blue circle get smaller and smaller (too young to tell the time or have much concept of) and see how long they have until time to go. Also useful for baking but the buzzer isn’t massively loud.

Great for five year old and doing countdowns for bed/end of activity

It's a different design than most other timers, but it's a perfect timer for me. There's really not much more to say.

Finde den Küchentimer super. Brauche ihn für meinen 5-jährigen Sohn, der noch kein Zeitverständnis hat und endlich ein visuelles Hilfsmittel dafür hat. Mithilfe des Timers hört und SIEHT er nämlich, wann z. B. zehn Minuten Spielzeit vorbei sind. Das hilft ihm, Übergänge von einer Aktivität in die andere besser zu meistern. Das war bisher immer ein Drama bei uns, weil es für ihn z. B. schwierig ist, sein Spiel fürs Abendessen zu unterbrechen, auch nach vielen Erinnerungen und Ermahnungen. Außerdem besteht er darauf, die Uhrzeit selbst einzustellen, was auch beim Erlernen der Zahlen und der Uhrzeit hilft... Ich habe den Timer gleich zweimal bestellt, so dass wir auf jedem Stockwerk einen haben. Selbstverständlich klingelt der Timer nur, wenn er einmal zur vollen Stunde gedreht wird bevor man dann die gewünschte Zeit einstellt. Das ist aber in der Anleitung so beschrieben, daher kann auch ich die negativen Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen.
