Prunus Elixir

Quick delivery, and excellent quality product (as you would expect from Weleda which is one of my go-to brands). I'm currently taking this to recover from a long period of low energy levels and significant work life stresses. It feels nourishing and tastes delicious! I'll update this later to report on the health benefits... The elixir is quite thick but it doesn't bother me. Very happy with my purchase.

I love this Elixir! I use it to make 'Jungle Juice' (recommended by RSA midwives) to help produce more breast milk. It tastes great in the Jungle Juice and in tea. My baby has gained weight easily and is a much more settled and happier baby since using the Elixir. He even sleeps through the night from 9:30pm to 5am (not sure if it's related to using the Elixir or he is just an easy baby). I started using it from 3 weeks old and he is now 8 weeks and I use it everyday. I intend to continue using it until I start weaning. The Jungle Juice is so refreshing and I feel calm, happy, healthy and full of energy. I could only find the Elixir on Weleda website or here but chose Amazon because it's cheaper and far quicker. Delivery is always extremely quick (next day even though it says 3-5 days) and well packaged in a box with bubble wrap and padding. I highly recommend this for new mums who are breast feeding!

Would recommend this to everyone. Helps to regain energy after illness. Or even just at change of seasons. I love it

This was a present to my daughter-in-law because I know how wonderfully efficacious this product is regarding health benefits. It is wonderful stuff for anyone who is pregnant, for nursing mothers or those suffering stress.

Unfortunately this ion that subscription been delivered absolutely empty. I do like the product but unfortunately I could not use it this both as the box was delivered empty. I hope Amazon will re send the items or refund this month subscription to me.

I use a lot of Weleda items, and do rate them highly. I decided to purchase an elixir as I wanted to boost my immune system a bit, and as I'm breast feeding, I can't take the normal pick me ups. To be honest, I can't say the elixir made much difference. It is very sweet, but has a reasonable taste. The serving suggestion reads to mix as a drink, but I found it quicker and more palatable to take a spoonful. You do have to take a large amount too, do the bottle doesn't last too long. I've decided to save it till I feel a cold coming on.

I thought this elixir did have an especially deep flavour but in many ways was very similar to other sweet organic cordials on the market. I took mine as a warm drink, which did taste comforting but I'm not sure it did anything special. The glass bottle was lovely but it meant at times the thick elixir took a long time to come out. In the future if in need of an immune boosting tonic, I personally will opt for elderberries over blackthorn. Nonetheless a great syrup to try!

Um wieder Kraft und Energie zu tanken, kann ich das Elexir wärmstens empfehlen. Zudem ist es auch noch sehr lecker. Man muss sich das Elexier alledings gerade bei kühleren Temperaturen erkämpfen, da es dann sehr zähflüssig ist und nur ungerne aus der Flasche kommt.

Love the product. Only if I could get it cheaper and larger pack sizes. The amounts I consume make it expensive for me to consume on a daily basis.

Bon goût

Relativ zähflüssiges Elixier aus dem Saft der Schlehen. Schmeckt sehr süß und ist dabei noch gesund. Ich habe mir nicht die Mühe gemacht, diesen mit Wasser zu verdünnen. Löst sich meiner Meinung nach einfach zu schlecht in Wasser auf. Ein Eßlöffel pro Tag hat den gleichen Effekt.

I have used Weleda Blackthorn Elixir numerous times over the years and it always helps restore my vital energy after an illness or in times of stress.
