After 4/5 months my periods/cycle had not resumed and no sign of it going to do so.... Really upset, frustrated and disappointed I looked into what I could do to help things along. I visited the doctor who referred me to a Gyno (the doc was extremely reluctant to refer me as he said wait wait and wait some more, thinking my periods would resume) I waited and waited ....still nothing, I went back another two times to which he finally sent me to a Gyno. I had tests, a Hycosy which confirmed my eggs where there, lots of them, all was healthy and as it should be, also checked my Fallopian tubes with the dye, again all healthy and ok, not blocked, all was there just I wasnt ovulating, they said that it would be most probably due to an in balance of hormones and perhaps being a little underweight - low BMI. Visiting the Gyno again they decided to prescribe me Clomid to help release my eggs.... To which it worked!! I was using these strips before I got a referral and clear to see there was nothing happening with ovulation, once taken Clomid I continued to chart and use strips and it showed exactly what I was hoping to see, a drop in temp and a positive result on the strips for 2 days running - I knew exactly when to have intercourse. It only took one cycle of clomid and on the lowest dose 50mg after months and months of wondering when will it happen....??? I used these for probably around 5/6months as well as reading a book called 'Taking Charge of your Fertility' by Tony Welscher' and also charting My BBT everyday and of course timing intercourse for when you are ovulating and hey presto I finally fell pregnant. To help any ladies out there who are feeling like I was - these really do work! You have to be organised and disciplined when using them, for example depending on the time of day you decide to check your ovulating (for me it was in an evening after work) you may have to do these whilst your out at friends or in a toilet if out dining, I never missed doing them and was totally bang on as to what I had done and when. I recommend every lady in life to read the book I mentioned above - I learnt tons and things I never knew and probably still wouldn't know unless I had read the book. Because of this magical find I felt in total control of my body and because of that you know you are doing everything you possibly can to help yourself. I find waiting 4 hours that the more expensive ones want you to wait too long.** A: I usually hold for 1.5 to 2 hours and always get reliable results.
