Periodically they need branches pruned and occasionally to be removed from their pots and for their roots to be trimmed. As soon as these secateurs arrived I shot out into the garden to try them out. As she wasn't watching at the time, I tried them on my wife's fuchsia plants first :-), before attacking my very expensive Bonsaii trees. The secateurs are fairly small (165mm, about 6 inches in old money), but very sharp, so will be perfect for work on Bonsaii trees. Having podgey fingers they are useful to me for getting in for dead heading and light foliage cutting. They are long enough to get into a plant without damaging it.
