Excellent Breast Pump
I couldn't recommend this pump enough. It is so easy to use and even easier to clean. It is far better than the electric pump that I bought. Having purchased a Tommee Tippie electric pump and being very disheartened at how little I was able to pump I was amazed at how easy this pump was to use. It's so quick to assemble and the suction created feels more gentle but is far more effective. With the 2 phase suction option it is more than the typical basic hand pump. It is very easy to carry in your handbag or nappy bag and you can easily rinse it out on the go if needs be. The bottle that come with it is very good quality and has very clear ml/oz markers and has a handy storage lid. Great that there is also the option of the personal fit shield so that you can get one to fit all breast sizes. I have read that some people seem to have issues with the suction after time and I found that if the rubber seal is still wet after being cleaned or has not been fitted back on correctly the pump will not work. Reading the instructions is quite important for this product, they are very quick and simple so definitely worth reading to make best use of this pump.

If I could give it 10 stars I would!
This is by far the best breast pump I've used, even better than the hospital grade electric one I was using while I was in the hospital. I was using a milk collector previously and after my milk supply has settled, I find that I wasn't collecting anything as the simultaneous let down didn't happen anymore. So I was on the hunt for a breast pump to keep my milk supply, be it electric or manual. And I wish I hadn't spend the money on the tommee tippee pumps! I use it during feeding on the non feeding side, and collected more milk than any other pump I've used before. The suction was gentle but effective in triggering let down, I've collected double the milk compared to the tommee tippee pumps. The pump action is very easy on the hands and didn't leave me sore after 10mins of pumping. The flange was also amazing as it didn't leak or back flow, which means I wasn't wearing my milk after pumping. Although each person is different size so the flange may not fit everyone which would be the main cause of discomfort. And because this is a breast pump, not a milk collector, it's designed for the milk to stay inside the bottle which means no accidental spillage because the baby kicked it or knocking it over. Best of all, this pump requires no electricity to operate and is so light, so absolutely ideal for putting in the handbag if I need it while I was out. All in all, this is the best pump I have ever used and I'm surprised it's not on every breastfeeding essentials list! If I had known and bought this earlier I wouldn't have spent so much time and money on the others that are simply sub par.

Great! wish I had purchased it sooner.
I was looking for an electric pump for occasional use and this one seem's ideal. I have the Philips manual AVENT pump and have found it not always to work and regularly had to rebuild it while expressing milk (not the most hygienic process considering you have sterilised everything). So decided to look for another just to express enough milk to mix with her baby rice. I bought the Medela mini electric pump over the more expensive Medela pump as I am already six months into breastfeeding so shouldn't need it for much longer, and preferred the price. I have found it great and to work efficiently. Can express 2 oz in five minutes, It's just what I needed. I am sure if you needed to use it more it would cope. Also easier to clean and rebuild than the AVENT pump. The only reason I gave it four stars was it's a little noisy and I think you require a manual one sometimes for the odd night you get engorged, but I think I would of said the same about any electrical pump. You need to ensure you retain the vacuum when expressing, but I have found this to be less of an issue than the AVENT.

Best product ever!!!
This pump should be in the list of best invented products!! The manual one is the greatest. It is a life saver. I have attached a picture of 30 min pump in thr morning. It is quick, efficient and easy to clean. No noise ever. I pump it just right next to my baby cot. My baby has difficulties to latch. I just pump and bottle feed it. The pump will extract ALL my milk. It is also a relief as my boobs feels better. I clean it and just carry it everywhere. If I am not with my baby, i go to clean room even toilet, just sit down and pump. It is great to avoid engorgement. It is also so quiet that no one hear you pump. I am having a life now as it was difficult for me to just go out for more than 4 hours. I know now that my baby has a stock a breast milk at home. PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE MANUAL. those helped me a lot to adjust how I pump and everything. Thank you meleda for this product!!! Life saver

Excellent pump but seems to have a fault that occurs in a matter of weeks
Great to clean quick to use, could be more comfortable, only problem is there seems to be a fault with one of the connectors that connects the handle to the pump and pump looses suction from this, I have ordered a few and had to send back within either a week or two otherwise would give 5 stars as it's the quickest pump IV used so far and it would be perfect for me if this fault did not keep occurring

It’s a great pump however initially you will feel discomfort. I have been pumping exclusively for more than month and got some issues as low/no suction after 10 days usage as mentioned in multiple reviews. Got replacement motor from gurgaon and he told me the valve (yellow attachment) needs to be either on left or right side (neither facing or opposing me which lead to backflow of milk from the hole near power adaptor) After further research, I got to know the membrane (white flap) needs to be replaced every 3 months or earlier for better suction (If there is gap/space b/w valve and membrane) Now my supply is increased and believe I can nourish my kid. So, ordered medela nipple shield in medium size 20 mm as my kid doesn’t take feed directly and this worked. So i am using 24 mm flange size of pump and 20 mm nipple shield (measured 13 mm normally and 17 mm after nursing). In case anyone is unsure of what size they should buy. Hope this info helps someone.

It has been almost a week since I've been using this pump by Medela and at first I was sceptical seeing so many bad reviews here on Amazon but I must tell you, I didn't regret buying it as it's such an amazing product, no wonder it's no.1 in most of the countries. I prefer the manual pump as it won't keep you confined in one place, it's easy to assemble, clean, the suction power is just right as it has two phase suction technique, plus it's so convenient that you can just put it in your bag and pump at work too, also I highly recommend you to read the manual carefully or watch a "how to use Medela harmony pump" on YouTube for maximum benefit cuz I see most complaining saying it didn't work for them while my milk production has definitely increased by this product and the best part is it's super silent and you won't wake your baby while pumping. I thank amazon for the prompt delivery. If you're searching for a good, non hassle, painless breast pump then go for this!
