Floetrol 2.5 L

Sounds too good to be true, but it isn’t. Works exactly as advertised. A little rubbed on the base of the bristles stops the paint coagulating there. Only wish I had discovered it earlier!

I use the owatrol product for oil and water based paints (oil for oil, floetrol for water).. In oils it slows drying and allows the paint to smooth out lessening the brush strokes. Worth the money if you are looking for a clean surface and or are using a tricky oil paint (eg little greene traditional oil eggshell). For water based paints the floetrol helps the paint spread better, meaning you can use slightly less paint. Clearly worth it with more expensive paints bit waste of money with cheaper... The finish is smooth and it gives more time to work across the surface joining wet edges. If you judge on the finish, I'm very happy, although it's a long time since I didn't use, so all I can judge is my results v other paint finishes from someone else. Yes owatrol are expensive, but these two products work very well and are worth it in my eyes.

Never used this product before, but it transformed water based paint into something that was a pleasure rather than a curse on new panelled doors and window sills, providing an open time more a kin to oil based paint.

Flipping expensive but did the job perfectly. Used at a paint pour workshop I ran last weekend, mixed with the paint and a little water. Photo is of a dirty pour made with all the leftover bits of paint at the end of the workshop.

Brilliant. Really noticed the difference especially as I needed it when it was really hot. AND you only need a little!!! Well worth the money.

This is really useful if you want to stop those fine brush lines that you get in paint. Helps work the paint for longer. Absolutely essential spraying bait I think.

I use this floetrol for pouring Art. It’s expensive, however i find it better to use than other mediums. It does create fantastic cells. I use a sieve to ensure there are no lumps but it’s rare. Would recommend this floetrol over PVA glue etc...

This is an excellent product. I use it for scenic painting for film and theater. It greatly imporves the characteristics of water based paint including bog standard emulsion for both brush and spray application. Service from the seller was excellent, arrived very quickly with Prime delivery and a pretty decent price.

En recherche de ce produit partout autour de chez moi et sachant que je le trouve qu'à 45 km de ma ville sous un format d'1 L ( à 18€! ) je peux assurer que le prix est plus que correct, voir imbattable jusque là après moult recherches sur le net. En magasin de bricolage ou peintures, on vous recommande souvent de l'Easycryl en prétendant que c'est la même chose pour bien moins cher. Pour avoir débutée avec ce produit, je peux vous affirmer qu'il n'en est rien niveau qualité et rendu fini. Le produit en lui-même est top, répond bien aux promesses émises. Mélangé à la peinture, l'application de celle-ci devient alors un jeu d'enfant du fait de son effet retardateur de séchage et de "nivellement". Pour ma part, bye bye les interminables couches sur couches avec la fameuse technique passage de rouleau en croisé! Un gain de temps indéniable ajouté à une qualité d'application sans traces sans pareille, que demander de plus ^^. A noter que j'utilise également l'Owatrol pour des techniques de peintures artistiques comme l'acrylique pouring et là encore c'est le produit idéal. Petite astuce : pensez à mettre un gaze ou mieux, un vieux collant, posé sur le goulot et maintenu à celui-ci par un élastique afin d'éviter de vous retrouver avec des sortes d'agglomérats ( que peut contenir le produit, rien d'alarmant, c'est normal surtout en fin de bidon ) dans votre peinture. Cela fera office de "passoire". En espérant vous avoir été utile :).
