I was curious about my outdoor allergies, and this hair analysis test made it so easy to get answers. I just sent in a small sample and received my detailed results in only four days! It gave me a clear list of items to watch out for, which has really helped me feel better when I'm outside.

I admit I had the box, packed it for a potential move, and found it when unpacking a year later. I sent it in, and got results back that are a joke. I am level 3 allergic (Severe intolerance - require immediate attention). To things that have been in my life for a very long time without any feeling of a reaction, no sniffly nose or eye issues, NOTHING. I would not recommend this test at all, well I wouldn't expect it to be as good as some testing from a physician, I was at least looking for some insights and got none. Waste of money!

This environmental testing kit was very easy to use, and everything was explained clearly in the materials that came with the kit. The kit directs you to remove 15 hair strands, hopefully with some root attached and place them in a little bag. You have to go online and make an account using your kit code BEFORE you send in your sample for testing, and you need to write down your login and password, which they provide a card for. They give you a pre-paid envelope to return the sample in, and it's sent via US Post Office, so you can send it right from home, which is easy. I received the results fairly quickly, I'd say within 10 days. I had been busy and I hadn't checked, but the first time I did check, the results were available. I have severe allergies and a life threatening condition called exercise induced anaphylaxis, so I was interested to see how these results aligned with what I already knew and also if there were things I was never tested for that might be causing me issues. The results mostly lined up with what I already knew. For example, it said I had a more severe reaction to cat saliva than to cat dander. I know this is true, which in my mind lent credibility to the rest of the results. There is an exhaustive list of items tested with this and I am not smart enough to understand the science or even know how to act on the results, but I did find this to be an interesting process.
