Roland TD-27KV2 Generation 2 V-Drum Kit

I've been a semi-pro drummer for over 40 years. This is the best electronic kit I've played. The heads are very realistic in their stick response and the variety of sounds is great. I used it at a Halloween show and it performed flawlessly.

I'm new in drumming and this is my second kit. It most definitely perfect. Practicing and mild to light gigs or recidals are no issues for it. Has enough flagship gear with it, looks great, doesn't take up too much space, very upgradeable! 9 out of 10 for the kit. Would be 10/10 but it is expensive (just manufacture gripe) otherwise great buy 👍🏼

Surprise, you’re able to split symbols, snare base and Tom’s into separate channels. We use it at church and it sounds just like an acoustic drum set. The sound guys love the control.

This is my 3rd Roland e-kit, and the the vast majority of the drum sounds are not up to recording quality. Mostly it’s the snare sounds - papery, thin, weak, all of them. Yep, save your $3.5k and just mic yourself whacking a piece of paper. Previous Roland kits came with snare sounds like brass, maple, aluminum, ect that sounded like brass, maple, aluminum whereas the TD27 snares are disappointing enough to make me wonder if I bought a Roland kit with a Walmart brain. Changing the head type makes barely any audible difference, and none of them sound realistic… I tried convincing myself that these sounds are usable, but listening to the recorded drum tracks later…. I can’t fool myself. Some times you start trusting a company only to get snaked. I’m going back to the TD-12, the snare sounds may not have been 100% replicas but they were MUCH closer than this expensive disappointment!

Beginner drummer here with some experience in piano and electric guitar. This is a huge upgrade from my Roland TD-1DMK which was my first kit. All of the pads are massive (The ride and snare in particular are colossal when compared side by side with the TD-1DMK) and allow for far, far more expressive play and technique that closely emulates an acoustic kit. The sounds generated from the module also sound great. It was a bit of an exhausting undertaking doing the unboxing, assembly, and cleanup myself because of the ridiculous amount of cardboard, but it was definitely worth it in the end. However, be aware that the set does NOT come with a kick pedal, hi-hat stand, or snare stand -- you must supply your own. It didn't seem obvious from all of the marketing images of the kit, so I just wanted to make it crystal clear here for any prospective buyers thinking of making a purchase. Besides that, I don't think you can go wrong with this kit if you've got the disposable income sitting around to order one for yourself. It's probably the best value kit in Roland's collection considering the hardware you're getting, at least within this tier of other comparable drum kits given the hardware and price range.

I've been playing drums for several decades and had the original TD-27 kit for several years before selling it for a small profit in 2022. I recently bought this new V2 kit which includes the revised VH-14D hi-hat; this resolved the biggest complaint I had with the previous generation as the new hi-hat has about 95% of the feel/functionality/playability of an acoustic one. However, if you add in the TD-27's kit modeling capability, that last missing 5% is more than made up for. If you can get past the kit costs (+ costs for the not-included hi-hat stand, snare stand, throne, and kick drum pedal), this is likely the most playable, most resilient, and most flexible electronic drum kit out there.

My husband is a long time drummer…nearly 60 years! He has a previous electronic set, it is over 25 years old, it was time for a brand new set and he is lovin it!

Seems like a pretty nice set. Thought I was missing a box until I really read the product description. Hi-hat and snare stand are not included even though they are in all the product photos. Kinda sucks but what’s another couple hundred in hardware? Setup instructions are ok but I ended up just looking at the photos and figuring it out myself since the parts aren’t labeled well. We’ll see how well I like the kit after the stands show up and I get to actually play. Thankfully I had a pork pie throne from years ago because a throne is also not included. Learned my lesson on product info descriptions.

Muy buena sensibilidad y sonido, se siente muy parecido a tocar una batería acústica. Hay que comprar por separado pedal, atriles de hithat y tarola.
