This is bigger and heavier than I thought. very solid high quality product. Fantastic door stop and paperweight as well as a very efficient meat press. You could easily knock out a burglar with this and if you buy 2 you can use them for weight training.

Great for searing steaks or making flat bacon

Love it but remember its cast iron, dry properly and oil. Tactile and good foody xmas present who likes smashed burgers and steaks.

These work great with bacon and steaks. Really nice weight and develops a good crust.

This has substantial weight so it works well. I love the cast iron plate. It is great to clean. I get flat evenly browned bacon.

Great quality if you’re looking for heavy weight..

I like the product but it’s not super necessary, as you can achieve the same results (smashing etc..) with a metallic spatula. But you can use this on bacon which frankly I don’t. One thing that I’m not sure is a great idea are the steel screws that hold the handle onto the press, and which are deeper, will eventually get difficult to clean.
