The grip section is quite small & as it is round, it can be tricky to hold on to for anyone with arthritis in their wrists or fingers. It makes self massage quite difficult for the same reason - Areas of the neck & shoulders can be difficult to reach. If there is somebody about to help with getting to the hard to reach areas, then it would be 5 stars. Reviews are subjective though - The information given implies it is suitable for self massage. It is, but people who suffer with sore joints & muscles (target customers) often have chronic conditions which affect their grip strength & dexterity. It would be useful for anyone with a chronic condition to consider whether this item is the best option for self massage in light of any personal limitations. **Q: Anyone know if this is any good for those who have restless legs syndrome?**
A: It is ok for this, but will not get rid of the restless leg feeling, in my experience overly massaging restless leg can sometimes make it worse - only thing that works for me is applying magnesium oil - gives almost instant relief. Also, since taking a magnesium supplement daily, my experience of restless legs has dropped by around 80% : )

**Q: If you are massaging someone with a lot of body hair, does the hair get trapped in the roller?**
A: I'm hirsute (very hairy) pretty much all over due to naturally high levels of testosterone. Chest, stomach, legs, neck, arms, back, even the tops of my feet and toes. But this massage roller has never caused me any pain or ripped hairs out. My wife uses it on me using scented oils, but it could only trap hair (if at all), if the hair was longer than the diameter of the roller, i.e. hairs longer than 5.5cm/2.5 inches. I know it's a late reply, but others may find this answer helpful anyway. PS - Sorry if describing my body hair (or 'winter pelt' as my wife calls it!) caused anyone to throw up. Like Marmite, it seems lots of body hair on men is a love or hate thing. Thankfully, my wife loves it, and that's all that matters as far as I'm concerned.

Love the colour & the shape. Visually, unlike some similar type products, this can be kept in the open without the risk of it being mistaken for a ... toy. For the price, it is a little gem.
