I normally wear 8 in the length but I have a wider foot so I sometimes order 8.5. In this case the 8.5 fit great. The shoes could be a 1/2 size shorter but then the width wouldn't fit. The laces are a little short and aren't long enough to go through the top eyelets but they look cute laced part way up so I don't think I'll bother buying longer ones.
