**Q: Will this remove mold and mildew in an ice machine?**
A: Not sure about mold and mildew I use it to clean water flow passages

**Q: Is this safe to use on the Opal nugget ice maker 2.0?**
A: Yes it works amazingly  on the Opal

**Q: will this clean a countertop ice maker? if there is not a clean cycle, i would just pour it into the water area and make batches of ice, then rinse?**
A: Yes it can be used to clean a countertop ice maker and depending on brand I would follow the manufacturer instructions.  Simply google cleaning whatever type and brand machine you have and it should come right up.

I've noticed my GE Opal 2.0 pellet machine slowing down with ice production considerably over the year I've owned it. I have always used distilled 5% white vinegar for flush cleaning, but decided to try something that was specifically intended to be used for descaling/cleaning ice makers thinking it might be stronger, and more effective. I added 1/4 of the bottle, and topped off with water. I recirculated the solution through the machine, and kept it in the machine for just about 24 hours. I ran the cleaning recirculation many times over this period to keep moving it around. I also left a washcloth soaked with the solution wrapped around the ice chute overnight. I was hoping to see mineral scale or anything kicking loose during recirculation, but absolutely nothing at all seemed to get flushed out. My machine still seems slower to comletely fill the ice tub, so I can't say this cleaner made any difference. The other minor issue I had was that one of the bottles leaked slightly in the package, and was crusty around and under the cap. Not a whole lot of solution was lost, so I kept it and used it. Hopefully the cleaner wasn't old or bad.
