Our larger kitty fills up the round hammock quite well, but there is room to spare with our more petite 8 pound cat. The first step was tricky but everything you need is included and did not take long, about 20 minutes.The material is nice, fluffy like a stuffed animal, and the structure is sturdy.Why it’s not rated higher…. The top perch bed is only cushioned around the edges, the cat is laying on top of hard wood. Also, the sides bend and aren’t supportive, so my cat was sleeping and fell off because the side gave way (pictured with my hand). I put a towel in there to soften the surface she’s laying on.The saving grace of this item is the hammock. She LOVES it and sleeps there a lot, with no fear of her falling.Please note…. My cat is 2 years old but under 7 pounds.
