His Dad put it together and said it was relatively easy to assemble. This is a quality product, well built and should provide plenty of years of kid enjoyment. I just wanted to get him a nice pedal car, I remember I had a chain driven pedal car when I was a kid that I rode all of the time on the sidewalk. My grandson is a big kid, but is just able to reach the peddles. So, he hasn't been able to drive it around yet. we did have fun pushing him around while he steered! We figure 6 more months and he will be racing around. What I liked about it is you can pedal, coast without the pedals moving (like on a regular bike), reverse the pedals to stop and keep pedaling in reverse to go backwards. Also, you can adjust the seat as your kid gets taller. Overall I was really impressed with the product.
