Good for walking on snow?

They're fine for walking on snow, but they're not very well insulated, so you will get cold feet after a while.

How height is the sole(sorry dor my inglish, kind of Rusty)

Hello, I understood your question perfectly! I never could get the Timberland boot to fit well . . not the boot's fault . . I'm hard to fit. I ended up sending them back and getting the Caterpillar "Walking Machines" Stock number P72365. I just measured and the sole is 3/4". The heel is just over 1 inch (over by 1/8 of an inch). Sorry I couldn't offer more help on the Timberland PRO . . it's an extremely well made work boot. Also, 1 inch (as reported by another customer) seems to be a little bit of a "stretch" to me on the sole. 3/4" seems to be the average . . I just checked another boot I have, a Wolverine "Multishox". It's sole is just under 1/2" and the heel is just over an inch (by an 1/8th of an inch). I remember my Timberland PROS, and the thickness of the sole was more like 3/4 of an inch. Incidently, these souls have not been worn down, and the numbers I have provided are for "like new" soles. I hope I have been of some help. If in doubt, go for it! Amazon is GREAT with returns. Stay safe, Jim

Sorry, but soft toe means this is not safety boots?

Correct safety toe means hard toe!
