It goes on smoothly and remains on throughout the day. I prefer this eyeliner pencils over crayon pencils I like the fact that you can make a more precise and thinner line. The "Coffee" color description is spot-on. It is a perfect rich, dark, cool to neutral brown (absolutely no red undertones). I searched quite awhile for a color like this and was so pleased when I tested it the first time (such a hard color to find). This color is perfect for cool undertones.It is on the softer side, so if you are looking for a tug-free application, this is perfect. It can be smudged for blending and glides on smoothly even in cooler winter months. It never melted during summer (hot in upstairs bathroom...sometimes 90ish degrees). I did not carry it outdoors, so no input as to melting temp in a purse or car.I have EXTREMELY sensitive skin and am literally allergic to most makeup products (especially anything containing silicone derivatives like siloxane & dimethicone which is in nearly every product nowadays). I can tight-line with this and apply it to my water-line without any burning or irritation.I don't wear makeup everyday, but 4 days a week or so. One pencil has lasted me just over 1 year. I don't sharpen before each use because I prefer to apply a wider lines, then blend. Would say I sharpen every 2-3 uses and think this has help conserve the product.Please please please do not discontinue this product!
