This is the first time I’ve ever used builder gel and I LOVE IT. My nails aren’t strong, they never have been. Most recently I’ve been using poly gel to extend my nails. This time around, I really only needed an overlay. A friend suggested I find builder gel. I ordered this one and the next day I used it. WOW! So easy to use. The texture is like very thick gel polish. There’s a learning curve, but it’s easy to work with as long as you follow the instructions. It self levels, so it doesn’t end up streaky/with ridges. I got my bottle in the color clear and it is CRYSTAL CLEAR. I didn’t have any issues with bubbles. If i had just left the builder gel on, it would’ve looked nice on its own. Very shiny and neat. It hardens more than gel polish on its own which is perfect to protect and support my weak nails. There’s also very little smell. Overall, an amazing tool and much quicker to use than traditional nail strengthening/lengthening products. 5 for arriving as pictured/described - 0 (absolutely no notes) = 5 Stars

So happy with this product. (BUT YOU DO NEED A LAMP--I bought a cheap one for $8 on sale at Amazon). I have just started growing fingernails (after 70 years). I first had artificial nails put on 3-4 times (expensive), but they did started growing. I thought I could keep them long with just using a "Hard as Nails" type clear polish. But it didn't work. They were breaking and looking pretty bad. I asked my teenager what she did to keep them from breaking and I found out she went to the nail salon again for a hardening on top. Pricing that option didn't fit in with my budget!! I found this gel online and it was pretty inexpensive. I put it on and put it under the light. But it stayed sticky. I read the instructions and comments a bit better and then applied a brand called "Nail-aid 1 minute Artificials" over the sticky top and then put it under the lamp again, and wha-la it hardened so nicely!!! I just love it: several days have passed and it still looks great: still hardened and I have not broken any nails. So, the salons in my town wanted $35-50 for each time they applied the hardener: so I got a great deal for much less. Very happy. No skin irritation, drying time was quick, CLEAR COLOR.

I work with my hands a lot so I need my nails to be durable, with that being said, this product is going to save me an $85 monthly salon visit. I attached a nail to my pointer finger(photo) and it is super strong and looks pretty natural for not being painted (the other nails were done at a salon). It took 30 second to dry and another 30 seconds to shape. I Absolutely recommend if you want easy to apply & strong nails.

I wanted STRONG long nails, but did not want to go through the hassle of doing acrylic powder or poly gel due to the cost it would initially be. I saw a few nail accounts using this and wanted to try it. To do my nails with this gel I also used a LED lamp and a base and top coat (OPI). I highly recommend this to anyone who paints their nails and wants strong long nails. I will go over what worked for me. I buffed my nails and then used OPI gel base coat. Then I used this builder gel. I did a "slip layer" (thin layer first, I did cure mine 30 secs) and then did a thicker coat focusing on the "apex". This polish is THICK and I recommend if the shape is getting weird to hand you hand upside down (palm up) to get gravity to pull the polish down. Do not worry it will not drip off- it is that thick lol. I did two layers to get to my desired thickness and coverage since this is a sheerish pink. I did notice that the color will look uneven slightly if you only use one coat. I cured for 90 seconds each round. This is probably overkill, but I wanted to be sure it was cured. If you find it is uneven in shape you can buffer it out and then add a top coat! People ask me all the time if my nails are real because of how long I am able to grow them now. *For removal I filed it with a coarse file and then put on a gel-polish remover and in about 2 rounds of that it came off. * Removal will take longer as there is thicker product on the nails. Pros- Good for beginners. Strong gel and I wore it for almost 4 weeks with minimal to no pulling or chipping. You can also use this as a builder gel and put a different color over it which I have also done. No problems with this either as far as longevity. Cons- Some nail painting experience will be needed. It can become messy due to thickness when applying and or wonky when it dries if you are not carefully painting it on. My first use I did have heat spike/ flare. I had to remove my hand to wait for it to cool. However, I just waited until my nails did not feel hot and continued with curing.

I really like this product. It makes my nails considerably stronger, especially when I (or a nail tech) has filed them a little too thin. It adds strength to my nail. It dries a little sticky, which is great for layering a color on top. I noticed some peeling after about a week specifically on the pointer finger of my dominate hand, but this happens with almost every nail polish I've used. The bottle is larger than I expected and has lasted for quite some time. All-in-all, I would buy it again.

This builder gel is a game changer! I have been doing my own nails for over 20 years but have only recently switched from regulars nail polish to gel ( maybe 1.5 years ago ). I have been on the hunt for the best / longest lasting brands and have found some that are quite good. However, I was still not getting the 3 weeks that are advertised. I ensured I followed all the proper steps from prep to proper curing between coat, ensured my color coats are thin and even and so on. I would routinely get a full week or week and a half, but if one of the edges started to lift, the entire nail would peel off. I would still get small chips here and there but still MUCH better than regular nail polish. But sadly as I age and from not always removing the gel polish the proper way my nails had started to get weaker /thinner causing my nails to be bendier and peel ( not so much break) making me keep my nails much shorter than I would prefer. SO I thought I would give this set a try and see.....The builder gel has made my nails SO STRONG! It is VERY thick when you apply it but it does self level to ensure your nail bed is smooth and flat. I now have my nails at the length I want and feel so confident that I can just simply live my life without thinking or worrying that my nails will break or my polish will be damaged. This building gel is keeping my polish looking amazing day after day. I would highly recommend this to everyone and will never do my nails without it again!
